Testimonial: "No part #, Summit deleted all discontinued info from their system. Already tried with unit model# with no success. Cannot replace unit (20" wide, max space available)."

SOURCE: Refrig door gasket does not prevent gap when door is closed

Lift up the gasket and look for screws securing the gasket to the door.
Loosen all of these screws a few turns and twist the door in the direction needed to seal.
Hold the door in this position as you tighten the screws.
This can be tricky and sometimes requires multiple efforts.

Check if fan is working by pressin the door switch, or if you have exceptional high load recently. Remove everything off the unit overnight before you turn it back on again..

Model# RT18DKXEW05 parts

Repair clinic has booth door gaskets
the refrigerator gasket is $91.60
The freezer door gasket is $72.95

If the unit is working good it might be worth it to replace the gaskets if unit is in good shape and you only need one of the 2 gaskets I would replace it. if needs both you need to see what a replacement unit costs and make a decision

How do you mount the door handle on the summit swc530lbist?

Open the door on it. Gently pinch the seal and pull on it while giggling it and it will eventually come out to expose the Chanel with two holes that expose the screw heads. Simply tighten on the handle from the backside and push the seal back in place and your done.
