How do i access the drain plug on my chaincase on a 2011 550 iq xlt polaris snowmobile ? I have the muffler box off, and still can't see it. Do I go through the plate beneath the belly pan?

The issue I had with my 94 was due to an oil adjustment, wich you can find below the carbs. It ran great at full throttle but once it sat at idle, the plugs would get wet and the same type of bog would accure. Get new plungs and make sure all three are firing first, if they are then the oil adjustment is off. If not sorry to say but you may have a bad coil.

I have 1995 and a 1997 XLT. i have rebuilt the recoil on the 95 and all it takes is the few bolts to take off the cover and take the pipe off. if the 97 is any thing like my dads 94, you may have to pull the engine up a bit, the bottom left bolt cant fully be backed out with out hitting the side of the belly pan retainer, all it takes to pull the motor up is one nut in the back of the motor mount, and one bolt off the front, and it will tip up enough

THEY ARE THREADED ON . TURN IT COUNTER CLOCKWISE TO REMOVE IT AND CLOCK WISE TO INSTALL IT
