You will need a script for vitamin k1 which your dog will have to take for 30days to stop bleeding throughout his body. It’s unlikely but u might be lucky & find a vet who will just write the script for you to collect, then take the script to a chemist or compounding pharmacy & get your dog on these tablets ASAP. If you do nothing & your dog has definitely eaten ratsac it will be a painful slow *****. If money is your concern A lot of vets offer payment plans with no interest, I’m sure u will agree, your best mate deserves at least that from you. Get him the help he needs, and please let us know how it goes?

Best i can advise if u are short of funds to get some activated charcoal and feed it to him.

There is no antidote for cyanide and affects blood clotting Get to the vet immediately for K1 injection. Symptoms may may not appear right away. But if they do appear it could be life threatening.

My 8 yr old dashound. Hasnt eaten in 24 hrs. She drinks water and she threw up just clear water. The last 2 hours she threw up twice and it's a dark color smells awful. 48 hours ago our cat passed .

your dog may be depressed if she had a strong connection with the cat in my opinion you should take her the the vets asap as it could be somthing alot more serious

First, I'm not a vet.
* You should have the vet check. (blockage, infection, bloat, etc.)

*** Following for information only. ***
* Check if dog is really eating and holding in food.
* Look for yellow, white foamy spots on floor (bile)
* Check if they are trying to cough up something but only clear liquid or food is expelled.
* If any of these conditions exists then see the vet.
* Otherwise, check the diet and what foods are eaten.
* Note restricted foods; Onions, Grapes, Nuts, Chocolate, Garlic (though some say 1 clove a week is okay to control worms.)
* 100% organic pumpkin (no spices) is good for digestion, usually for controlling the 'runs' though it's okay a couple times a week to keep plumbing running smooth.
* check on line or with vet for recommended diet.
* Ask the vet for additional advice. (most don't charge to answer questions over phone.)

My Yorker ate a large amount of human food. She was sick and now has stopped .she has eaten a small amount of chicken. She has no energy and has bad smelly wind. What can I do?

take her to the vet
human food is not bad for a pet if the amount of fat is kept to the minium
excess fat in food causes pancreatitis in animals which results in what you describe including the smell and it is dangerous if not treated by a vet
probably just got a bad tummy ache and if not fed for 24 hours will probably come good again
BUT again , that is a vets call

I think my dog has Melena,what natural remedy is there for this

talk with a vet about what is causing the bleeding in the digestive tracts
one reason for this is rat or mice poison which causes internal bleed or snail pellets which dogs love
other reasons are feeding the dog cooked bones that splinter when being being chewed and then penetrates the intestine walls causing bleeding
the dogs digestive acids cannot break down cooked bones so they should only be getting raw bones
as for natural remedies , watch and monitor what the dog eats , feed only the diet recommended by vets and get the animal to a vet to see exactly what is causing the bleeding

My dog has been panting all day every time we stroke his head he cries, then he's okay. he's very lethargic didn't want to go for a walk, not eaten much, just a couple of treats

I hope you took him to the vet. For things like that, it is best to take them to the vet right away instead of trying to get a response on Fixya.
