Hi guys I have installed printer Epson TM_U295 with USB to serial port. the problem is that when printing the test page I get Bizzard characters.

I've checked that the setting are same in the port configuration, the printer port configuration and the DIP switch. Your help is more than appreciated

SOURCE: Epson TM on Windows XP with serial

you need to use the printer cable that was design for the printer. if you don't have the cable anymore, then you have to take the commercial cable apart and reconfigure in accordance to page 43 of the manual call outs.

Besides the cable, the printer software is only good for Windows 2000. Windows XP will not work unless Epson provide you with the printer driver. (which I did not see on the website).

all in all if you must use this printer with Windows Xp. you need to create a file in Autoexec.bat to enable the printer and allow the USB to connect to the printer.

that is going take time to do. if you need help on that. please post the request here.

Thanks

SOURCE: Unable to install Epson TM-U220B[U220 with UB-U02III usb interface] on Windows 7 AND XP!

Hi!

Are you using a third party USB adapter or a USB interface? On the self test page that you printed does it say USB connection or something that will say about USB? or does it say parallel or serial connection? try to check the dip switches setting if its configured properly. visit epsonexperts.com site for more info.

Epson UB-U03II not working

I had huge issues with my TM-U220. It does not play well with a Centronix-to-USB cable or with Windows 64-bit. I played for AGES to try and get it all to work.

I installed the USB device driver[1] I was able to print the Test Page proving that the connection between Windows and the printer sort of worked, but when I tried printing anything from Unicenta POS, it always failed.

I finally bought a new Centronix-to-USB and a new parallel port card, used Windows 32-bit, and problem solved.

They key is to uninstall everything, including searching through the Registry to delete everything.

Epson TM T88iii printer not printing

Since you are using the USB-to-serial converter, you need to select the serial interface in the printer driver installation.
  1. Uninstall the driver in Control Panel > Add or remove programs
  2. Restart the computer
  3. Install the printer driver again, this time select serial in the interface list
  4. Set the properties for the serial port to 9600 for the data rate
  5. Print a test page!

Epson TMU-295 prints in condensed mode with Windows 7 from web application while the same printer prints the same output in normal mode with Windows XP. How comes?

window is not the faulty one if you are using a third party software of sent print option from internet then problem must be with in drivers..... print a self test page if ok then print test page from system (control Panel) if both point ok then there must be problem in online software/ERP.
