SOURCE: Broken Touchpad ZIF Connector

Best bet is to obtain a faulty motherboard and use the clip from that - they are often sold very cheaply declared as faulty on ebay.

Please rate my assistance I hope it is helpful.

Take the lens off and continue pressing the shutter untill it doesn't react anymore, you should then have a normal menu without the error message.Put your lens on and you're all sorted.Cheaper and less hassle than sending it to Nikon.

SOURCE: Water filter stuck on my Kenmore Fridge

I had the same problem. I coudn't get the knob to turn. I ended up taking the front grill off so I could get a better grip on the knob. Once I did that I still have to put a lot of pressure on the knob to turn it but that did the trick. When I got it turned a quarter turn then it was easy to pull the filter out. Hope this helps!

SOURCE: Slow water flow from GE SmartWater under sink water filter.

I solved the problem! The system's manifold (the plastic base you put the filter in) has small black conical shape button. When you tight the filter in, one of the two small triangle-shaped cams (located close to the filter's central hole) pushes the manifold's button, and this opens the water flow. The problem is that the cams are too low and do not push the button all the way in. Take a pliers and squeeze (not too much!) the cams, so they will raise a little: it will be enough to push the button to open the flow completely.

SOURCE: replacement water filter won't stay in place.

I too had this problem...the metal tabs in the filter housing need to be bent in toward the center to hold the new filter tighter...I also filed the tabs that rest on the spings down a bit to lessen the tension. So far so good!

My Frigidaire ultrawf water filter will not stay installed after it clicks

Hi- not sure if it will help but I had issues getting it out. What I found is the plastic casing (fridge) needed a little twist/push. Play with it- hold the filter in and GENTLY push/pull/twist slightly the fridge housing.

more likely it was in twisted condition when it was turned to luck it or unlock it and stayed in twisted position and will not turn. get a hair dryer and blow the hot air around where it lucks. push filter in and turn to unlock it. hot air expand the lucking plastic cover and it allows for easy turns

My Maytag Ensignia washer is leaking water from the pump area of the washer. I've eliminated the drain hose and I've traced the leak up to the area of the plastic casing around what looks to be the...

Look for broken plastic casing of the pump. A hairline crack would also leak water. Check for proper fitting of flexible hoses to & from pump. Another thing is to check for loose filter cap. A loose filter cap or broken O ring of the filter cap can leak water.

I accidentally dropped my samsung S1070 while I was taking a photo, and the lens is now stuck out. It won't turn on, and we've tried replacing the batteries and taking them out. I've also tried...

Hi,

Check whether your batteries are actually making contact with the battery posts, and that these posts are clean. If not, bend the posts up/down a little, and maybe clean them with a little rubbing alcohol on a Q-tip.The next thing to try is examine both the battery and flash card door. There's usually a little switch on both doors (note some SD card doors do not have this switch) that activates when the doors are closed. If they don't, the camera won't start to prevent damage to the flash card or camera startup sequence. For most cameras its usually a little piece of plastic on the door that pushes in on a pin switch when the door is closed. Closely examine both doors to try to identify these switches. A lot of times that little plastic nib wears down or breaks off, but can easily be jury rigged with a small glued-on replacement.
If you've tried all of the above and still no luck, the problem is then likely to be internal to the camera. One example would be that if your camera uses Compact Flash, check to make sure all pins are present and aligned in the card slot (if bent, simply unbend/straighten them with a skinny "jewelers" screwdriver, then insert the flash card for final realignment).

Thank you!

I have a bosch water wizard and the off button is stuck in.

The off button may be stuck because the plastic slider mechanism hidden behind metal plate holding buttons does not move properly. Typically, depressing the leftmost light button should do the trick. However, if it does not, you can undo the two phillips screw that hold metal plate. This will reveal the slider mechanism. Push the horizontal plastic element to the left. This should free the off button. Replace the metal cover and tighten back the screws.

Plastic Taste in Refrigerator Water

Hi there, I noticed the same condition when I left the filter in ours a little too long. The optimal performance from the filter is achieved (I have found) when you change it after 3 months. This is about the same amount of time it takes for the light to change from green to red on the filter light.
Hope this helps. ~Steve

Re: KitchenAid Coffee Pot

I had a similar problem with Err 1, Err2, and Err 4. To resolve Err 1, if you have room, remove the coffee filter and coffee, pour more "warm" not hot water into reservoir. If you have 4 cups cold water add 5 cups warm. Then start coffee maker and let it run thru. Then drain coffee pot and start over to make coffee with tepid water. Err 1 indicates the coffee maker temp sensor is too cold from room temp or water temp.
Err 2 is a result of cleaning. First question "Did you remove the charcoal filter?" The charcoal filter can be removed form the filter stick by prying two tabs away gently and removing the filter for removal. The filters can be purchased @ www.Kitchenaid.com
One pot run thru with descaler can loosen scale and make sensor go "blind". Just run a full pot of clean plain water thru one maybe two times. A pot solution should be a solution of 1/4 pot WHITE vinegar, 3/4 pot clean cool water. Run this thru once, then two clean pots of fresh water as if you brewed a pot of coffee. NEVER USE CLR WITHOUT RUNNING NO LESS THAN THREE CLEAN WATER POTS THRU MAKER!!!! This is so you can continue to enjoy drinking coffee, nothing like a cup cleaning you out!
Err 4 is simple, you have a stuck button. Unplug maker and gently press each button making sure they aren't stuck in.
