Drum broken where suspensions spring mounts

Hello, I have a 22 year old Frigidaire FWT445GES0 front loading washer. The outer drum hole where one of the rear suspension springs go through has broken. I do 5 1/2 loads per week and never over fill my washer. My Warranty Company does not want to pay for repair/replacement telling me that it because of user negligence. Please help me deal with the Warranty Company. If I can somehow prove that this kind of breakage can be caused by normal wear and tear.

SOURCE: ford escape Rear Suspension With Coil Springs - out of joint?

It is a 4x4. The "yellow" looking item in between/inside the black spring coil seems to be out of its joint. When I compare the left vs the right, the left side is sitting up high, while the right side appears to be settled into place.

SOURCE: front load washer loud noise and drum loose but not dropped

Spider arms attached to stainless steel drum inside of tub have probably broken. This is a known problem with Frigidaire front loading washing machines. The stainless steel drum has a 25 year warranty but this does not include the spider arms. You cannot buy the spider arms separately, you have to buy the unit as one. The drum cost about $250.00 and probably about $300.00 in labor to install. You can do it yourself but it is pretty involved. Good Luck!

I had the same problem, we opened up the bottom front panel and found a loose connection. Electrical connector had shaken loose.

Samsung WF218ANW drum tilted off track

It may be a suspension spring has come off or leg has broken if it is both drums off track.
If it's just the inner drum then the bearings may have failed or the spider that the shaft is connected to may have broken.
Start with the springs at the top and suspension first.

Front seal not supporting drum, drum flops violently, doesn,t leak. seal wont stay on drum.

it sounds like you may have tub bearing issues or your suspension springs or shocks may be missing or broken. The front seal is just there for sealing, thats its sole purpose.
Basically there is two parts, the inner stainless steel drum and the outer plastic tub housing. Reach inside and see if you can move the inner stainless drum up and down any significant amount? If so the bearings are most likely shot. If its pretty solid but the outer plastic tub moves, its most likely a suspension issue. You can take off the top to get a much better view of the components.

Replace door seal

its not to easy to do but,,,
look at the bottom of the washer were the door closes the seal is held on with a spring wire,,unhook this wire and fold the seal inside the washer,,look for the inner drum there is another spring wire holding the inner part of the seal to the inner drum undo this as well,, pull old seal out through the door hole,,,now fold new seal so that the inner wire can be fitted round the new seal first to the inner drum,,then pull the new seal through the door hole and fit the outer wire to seal,,,
and then job a good un?,,, not easy a,,well i did tell you this!

My washer makes a banging noise during spin cycle ?

Inspect the outer drum to see if one of your springs has popped off. You can also inspect the lower drum area to see if your vibration dampener has worn out or broken free. Also you may need to check your rear bearing just between the large pulley and the drom to make sure is hasn't separated from it's mount.

My kenmore front loading washer is make a bad banging. washer is level and sounds like the inner drum is banging against the outer drum. if this is possible what may be the cause. any help is appreciated

Check the Vibration damper rods to be sure that...
1. They are there and mount is solid.
2. If they are broken in 1/2.
3. The plastic knuckle mounts are not missing/broken.
4. There is oil in the shock absorber/spring section of the rods.

Also - there are suspension springs on the bottom of the tub that could be broken and/or missing.

Replace/repair as necessary.

I have a frigidaire gallery front load washer need help

Run the machine on a cycle with no load in it (no soap powder either)

If it makes the same noise when there are no clothes in it then the suspension legs have given way or the counterweight has come loose.
You will need someone who knows what they are doing to repair it

Something rolling inside the Drum

The rear half of the outer tub, with bearing is part # 131525500 and it looks like the back "spider" shaft is not available as a separate part from the inner drum. The "spider" shaft is most likely worn or damaged and in need of replacement also.

Then, there's that strut

Now, two pain in the back side hours of your labor and you've got your washer back, at more than what a new one would cost! Junk it and get a new larger capacity front loader.
Please don't rate this, as anything but the top rating will lower my score. I'm just giving you my honest opinion, that your machine is not economical to repair. I've owned a LG front loader for over 6 years and think they are the best, but there are other good front loaders out there also.

Frigidaire crtr9300

from the top access ,
check the suspension out like you would a car,
move the drum up and down and sideways ,
it should resist and settle w/o bounce,
the springs should be tight.
the placement of the marks will give you an indication as to which opposite arm or spring is weak.

Drum has dropped/is not aligned with opening.

I've had the same problem. The drum is held in place by a spring attached to a hole which forms part of the drum. If the hole where the the spring was has broken off, you'll have to get a new drum!!!!! A bad design for a machine which was very expensive. Mine even shows a message if it's been overloaded! Complained to AEG, naturally, they didn't want to know.
