Check the drain line by looking from the back of the refrigerator and make sure it is running into the drain pan. Also check to make sure the drain line isnt stopped up or the pan is over flowing with water. If That checks ok if you have an ice maker and water dispenser you will have a water line hooked to the back of fridge, make sure it isnt leaking at connection then it runs up through the side of the door to the ice maker. Also after the ice makes it fills a trough with water maker sure that isnt pulled out and the water is pouring down. Most common thing is if you have moved the fridge lately the drain line got moved and isnt draining in pan just pouring onto floor. Most of the time it is a drain related issue.

    there is no ice maker.

  • Caleb brunson Oct 31, 2018

It is most likely the drain. It may be frosting more than normal in freezer making more frost than normal melt causing drain to ovsrflow. If gasket on door is worn it may be pulling in humid air freezing more moisture than normal or the drain hose could be clogged causing water to pour out inside unit.

SOURCE: water running from under the refrigerator

If your refrigerator is of the type which has automatic defrost, the problem is in the pan under the fridge.
The compressor area undr the fridge is full of lint and air is not flowing to the point to allow evaporation from the pan or the pan has rusted and leaks. Remove the pan and check it out and while you are there, clean the fins of the coil under the fridge.

SOURCE: Crosley Servidor WCR17/E K3 Top Shelf and Drain Plug Freezes Over

first thing I would suggest is to flush the drain line. defrost any ice in the drain and then flush warm water thru the line until it flows freelyif  your having a hard time getting the line flushed out you may try using a large syringe or turrkey baster filled with warm water to forcfully flush water thru the line. this will most likely fix the problem.
you didnt mention if food was freezing in the refrig as well as the drain but there may be an off chance that the temperature control could be bad. since this is a manual defrost unit it depends on above freezing temps to help keep frost off of the cooling coil. if the temp control goes bad it will allow sub-freezing temps and possible drain freeze ups. so if the drain continues to freeze you will need to replace the temperature control.
if it comes to that, the control actually has a part number on it since maytag cant find your model number.
message me back if you have any further questions. thx peyton

SOURCE: water running out under the refrigerator

There are many reasons for this happening for example water leaking from a water supply line for the dispenser or ice maker, a crack in the defrost pan, water leaking inside and draining through the refrigerator cabinet, but most are cased by a defrost drain line blockage. Below is a link that may be helpful so try to take it all in and use the parts that most refer to your specific problem, Thanks Sea Breeze

SOURCE: Water pooling under right front of refrigerator

is there any ice on freezer floor or is the bottom rack iced in?if so you have a blocked drain in the freezer,or if that's ok you could have a crack in one of the plastic water lines, also check the catch pan where the water drains into when the fridge defrosts, you can pour water down the drain in the freezer to check that, roll the fridge forward and take the bottom panel off the back, should be easier to check for leaks and take off the front kick panel, while you're in there vac out all the dust in there, front and back, you should do this every 6 months

My panasonic american fridge freezer has a pool of water beneath the bottom drawer of the fridge compartment

My sympathy. You are having a bad day.
The most likely cause is your defrost evaporation pan (if the refrigerator is frost free and almost all within the last 20 years are) the defroster runs water from the freezer unit (and maybe refrigerator unit) down a tube to a pan under the machine.
You will need to pull the machine out where you can get all around it, find the pan, pull it out (may have water in it) empty the pan, clean the pan (if you have had the machine long, it may be nasty), and then make sure that the tube is clear. Sometimes the part that goes from the tube to the freezer and or refrigerator compartment is tilted down so the water goes into the machine instead of down the tube.

You also need to clean the coils and other parts of the underneath of the refrigerator while you are there.

If this does not fix the problem, you probably need to pay for a service call. Sears is always sending me e-mails telling me how cheap their service is. You may want to check it out before your start as they may give you a "special introductory offer".

Why does my samsung fridge leak water under the fridge when I use my water dispensor?

hi Todd.
Problem: It's leaking water. ... Cause: A blocked defrost drain is one of the most common causes of water leakage. This happens when food particles or other debris clogs up the drain hose, which can lead to ice buildup and, eventually, water leakingout of the freezer and refrigerator.

My GE monogram refrigerator keeps freezing up. My repair man has replaced the thermistor and the control board, and neither fixed the problem. He told me to contact GE, but I can't seem to find a number to...

This might seem silly but sometimes having the Controls turned to max will cause a refrigerator or freezer to freeze up.

Another problem could be if there's a water input system that runs through the inside of the unit for ice-makers or water dispenser internally. It could be a broken/worn tubing that needs to be replaced. If there's any water running on the outside or condensation on the tube it would explain the extra water or water vapor that's causing the refrigerator to freeze up.

Does there seem to be a source of the ice, or any place that's specifically worse than others.

Water comes off somewhere in the bottom of my fridge. what could have caused it?

When your refrig goes into defrost , the water runs down the back of the refrig ( inside ) and out to the drip pan thru a drain hole under the crispers . If water is under the crispers , remove the crispers and you should see a " cap " covering the drain hole . Sometimes crud will cover the slots where the water is supposed to drain , causing water to pool under the crispers . Just remove this cap , clean , and reinstall .

What would cause a refrigerator to collect water under the fruit and vegetable drawers?

hi there, refrigerators have condensation that forms and generally goes down a little hole that is usually under the fruit and vegetable drawers. This water should go down this whole into a condensation pan that is under the refrigerator and then evaporates. Sometimes food gets in the hole under the drawers and keeps the water from being able to travel where it needs to. Try to run a pipe cleaner of something through the hole to clean it out and maybe a very small amount of HOT water. If there is no hole there, it is unusual and it is possibly something else. This is usually the problem I have. Hope this helps!

Water is leaking onto the floor from underneath the refrigerator.

There is a condensor tray located underneath. It catches water and then the water evporates. Sometimes the tube gets plugged and causes a mess. Check the tube and the condensation tray. You can access the tray by just taking off the grille under the door on the front of the refrigerator.

Refrigerator will leak water every few days.

This water is probably that accumulated during the automatic defrost cycle, which occurs every 24-hours. A fan is supposed to pull air over it to evaporate it.

Clean all the dust and lint accumulation from under the unit, remove the condensation collection pan and clean it, and make sure the bottom fan is running.

I can't emphasize strongly enough how much of an enemy the accumulation of dirt and dust under a refrigerator can be its worst enemy. It can make the refrigerator exhibit symptoms of much more serious problems. Sometimes a good cleaning can have it operating like new with no real 'repairs' whatsoever.

I HAVE A GE PROFILE REFRIGERATOR TOP FREEZER, MODEL# TBX22PAYMRAA THERE IS ALWAYS WATER ON THE SHELVES AND A LOT OF WATER ON THE BOTTOM UNDER THE VEGTABLE BINS. WHAT IS CAUSING THIS AND HOW CAN I FIX IT?

Two separate problems here.
One; remove the ice maker, then remove the back panel from the freezer. The defrost drain is probably frozen . It will have to be thawed. Then run a 1/4 cup of bleach through it.

Two. Water on the shelves sometimes is caused by the frozen drain line referred above.
But can be from a poor door seal on the fresh food compartment.
Check the sides and bottom of the door seal. It may have pulled loose from the plastic liner.
If it is warped and damaged it must be replaced.

Motor running a lot

9360gabbs,  The significant thing that you list is... it is louder than usual.  You indicate that you have cleaned the coils under refrigerator.  Try and roll the refrigerator out from its normal location so you can get behind it.  Remove the cardboard or metal cover across the bottom area of the refrigerator.  Check and see that the fan next to the compressor is running and that the blades are clean from dust, etc. Sometimes the condenser fan dies and must be replaced sometimes the blades are covered in dust, etc and causes a decreased volume of air to be moved by the fan.  Make sure the entire area is clean from dust, etc.  Be sure to replace the rear cover that was removed.  Very important!  Hopes this helps you!
