1, A scanner locked error appears on the control panel of the Samsung SCX 432 printer, this occurs when the scanner head is not able to move. Try doing the following to resolve the error, press the Stop or Clear button.
2, Power Off the Samsung printer. Remove the power cord from the rear of the printer. Wait for a few seconds. Turn On the printer again, this unlocks the scanner.

I have Samsung SCX-4216 printer. Printing, Xerox & Fax working is OK, but scan facility is not working because i missed the original software. please give me a solution for get the original software or scan drivers.

I'm not sure about the 5530, but the 3160 goes like this (and I think that it is similar). Lift the top, look at the glass, left to the glass there is a lever and "unlock" position.

Dear there usually there will be a scanner lock.
first discoonect from mains power supply
then wait for printer to cool down. Check for any sliding switch near the scanner or below the Scanner glass( paper print exit area)

If there is no switch. then approach the samsung call center also they will help over the phone. . Last option,
Then I recommend u to visit nearest service center.
They will fix for you.
