Have cleaned carb, float looks good but keeps floading
Inside the carb has a float with a needle to stop flow when is full this might be damaged or the float is damaged allowing petrol inside if so need to replace it
Check for debri under needle and seat - the only way for fuel to enter. check for properly seated needle by blowing into fuel inlet of carb while moving float to raised position.

First take the carb off of the engine and then remove the bowl, carefully take the float off paying special attention to the needle and how it is attached to the float. Next, lightly blow air into the fuel inlet while holding your finger over the spot where the needle goes in. Use a bread tie with the paper scraped off. Stick the wire through the pick up tube at the bottom of the carb. Find any other holes and probe those holes with the wire. Then thoroughly wash the entire carb with carb cleaner then blow the whole carb off. Then put the float and needle back in making sure that when putting the bowl back on that it seats tightly all the way around the rubber gasket. Also, just before you put the bowl on turn the carb upside down to see if the float is sitting level. If it is put the bowl on, If not then the spot where the needle sits on the float has to be bent one way or the other just a little until the float sits level. After the bowl is put in place, the nut that holds the bowl on the threaded area should have two possibly three holes plus the hole down the center, probe all holes with the wire. put everything back on the motor and try again. If it still won't run then you will need a carb kit.

that would be either the float set to high or the needle and seat is missing an o-ring while you had it apart. Should look at getting a carb kit there only approx. 23 bucks and it would save you a lot of grief in the long run.

Ok, that pin is the needle valve. It should move freely, and the spring should attach it to the float. When the carburetor bowl is full, the float pushes that pin up to shut off the gas flowing into it. Otherwise, it would continue to dump fuel into it until it overflows, and you would have gas all over. The engine draws gas through the jet in the bottom of sump that you see sticking into the bottom of the bowl(this likes to get plugged up and keep your engine from running) The spring just kind of sits in there so that if the float moves, it will pull down the pin as it moves.

G'day mate 1st there will be a small gauze filter in the fuel tap ,may also be little gauze at needle and seat in carbs 2nd have you got an air leak , check this by letting the motor idle and spray around the carb where it goes onto the head with WD40/CRC/RP7 style lubricant if it revs up , you got a leak, 3rd remember that a coil will take much more power to rev an engine up than to let it idle . hope this helps
