Change out the water valve. The water valve is what the water hoses are hooked up to on the rear of the machine. This is a pretty easy replacement. The new one goes on like the old one comes off. Turn the water off and disconnect the water hoses from the back of the machine. Sometimes there is one hex head that is removed and the valve tips out for replacement. Depends on the year and model.

Possibly a stupid answer..most water supplies at the hose connection have valves...turn off or at least reduce the amount of cold water with valve closed or partially open.

Speed Queen Awn412sp111tw01 Washer, no cold water!

In the back of the cold water hose connection there is a small gauze filter. Check is is clear of limescales and debris. While the hose is off, hold the hose in a bucket and have someone else turn the stop valve on. Don't try and do it yourself. If you have good water flow and a new water inlet valve, it can only be the wiring or the control board / connections to it.

Speed Queen top loader, have had to replace the inlet valve 3 times and only owned the machine for 6 months!

Check your water pressure. If it's too high, that's exactly what will happen... Inlet valves will wear out.

Slow hot water fill on speed queen washer

the valve filter is blocked up

turn off the hot water supply and remove the hoze from the machine end valve inlet
in the inlet is a small filter remove it and clean it

if its not too bad perhaps the valves solinoid coil has shorted turns
and wont open fast or fully
check the outlet preasure of hot water from the hoze to a bucket
see it flows fast ..

Cold water trickles in and fills up slowly

You either have a water pressure/flow problem or the inlet screen in your inlet valve is clogged. Remove the cold water hose and use a bucket to check if you have good pressure and flow. If that is good, look and clean the inlet valve screen for debris. Hope this helps.

THE MACHINE DONT TAKE OR MIX WATER,ONLY COLD WATER WIL TAKE.

The dual inlet water valve has a failed solenoid on the hot side.
Visit repaircenter.com and enter your full model number to see/order the valve.

Hot and cold water not coming out very fast.

Turn off the water supply to the washer, and disconnect the inlet hoses, then check the filters in the inlet to the valves.
Also make sure the hoses are not kinked or perished.

Cold water fills slowly

Make sure water valve/tap is fully turned on.
If it is, then turn off, and remove inlet pipe to washer, and check the filter in the hose or the valve, i9f clean, then could be a faulty inlet valve.
Please rate my solution.
Thankyou.

THE TUB OF THE WASHER GETS REALLY LOW WHEN IS FILLED WITH WATER. NOW, ALSO THE WATER DOSENT COME IN WHEN I TURN IT ON

All top suspend tub washers drop down when they fill with water. And they rise again when they have pumped the water out. This is normal.
What is not normal is water not coming in.'

check following:
Water is turned on
Remove inlet hose and run water to see if it is blocked.
Clean the inlet filters.
If you hear a buzz but no water goes in the inlet valve needs replacing.
If yu use only cold water try swapping the cold hose onto the Hot inlet. Then select Warm Wash.
Then only turn on the Cold Tap.
This will allow you to fill the machine and do a wash.
Watch out though when it comes to the Rinse position......some machines only do a cold rinse, and because you have swapped the hose over to hot it will not fill to rinse the clothes. Until you can get a Tech to do the repair you can just use either a bucket to add cold water for the rinse or use the garden hose to fill the tub with cold water for the rinse.
Have yu got all that?

Cold water flows slowly into the tub when doing wash. checked the screen at the water inlet on the machine and it is clean. water flow on the connecting hose is also ok

If screen and water pressure are ok then the cold water solenoid valve assembly could be partically clogged. The older ones could be taken apart and cleaned. I cannot say if yours can be cleaned.
