Not familiar with the Richardson but most drill presses have a slot in the quill. Pull the handle down just a little and look. You should see a vertical oval shaped slot. Obtain a "drift key" , insert and smack it with a soft faced hammer. You should be able to obtain or order the drift key through Ace Hardware or an industrial supply company.

I had a similar problem with my Delta; the MT socket may have dirt in it that prevents a tight fit, or there is a slight machining error. My solution was to clean the joints, and place a drop of Krazzy Glue on the taper, and ram it home - has stayed put for the last 20 years!

How do you change the blade on a Husqvarna partner K750 concrete saw?

The blade bolt is 13mm,on the opposite side there is a hole in the belt guard to insert a 6mm pin to lock the front pulley, once locked undo the blade bolt counter clockwise, once removed, remove the outer clamping flange, you can then remove the blade, the standard arbour is 20mm, this can be changed if you wish to a 25.4mm, or a 22mm, depending on the arbour size of the blade you wish to fit, the arbour just pulls off the shaft with a suitable puller. Refit the the blade and outer flange, tighten the bolt securley.

I want to drill a 89mm hole through the top of a 2.5m diameter vessel wall thickness 10mm stainless steel , with a hole saw but i can't risk dropping the piece of steel in the vessel do you have a centre i...

This is posted in the chainsasw catagory, probably not the correct forum. That said if it falls into the vessel will it contaminate the contents? If no and you are just concerned about getting it back out; you are going to make a hole about 3.5 inches in diameter if my math is correct. Attach a couple of strips of steel can with double sided tape (between drill bit and cutter teeth). A magnet can then be used to remove the the plug if it falls into the vessel. HTH Lou

When drilling metal with a 1/2" bit, the chuck keeps coming loose on the arbour. It is a new Craftsman drill press.
