Not told is google blocked (google.com)???????????
there are 1billion web sites now, are all blocked (LOL)_ or just one.?

best is boycott apple. for sure.(grin)
sounds to me (seems) that ipad is blocked by a smart DNS
not told
I use cloudflare. DNS, 1.1.1.1
there vast other DNS, but you didnt tell yours
and DNS can have HUGE parental blocks. to all evil sites
so in the surfboard settings set DNS top 1.1.1.1
to wide open generic, 8.8.8.8.
learn to access your router, RTM read the manual see its IP
and go there and set the DNS to any you like.
i like 1.1.1.1.

SOURCE: connecting my arris modem to x-box live

I have an Arris cable modem and use Xbox live. They work very well together. Most ISP's will only allow one active device at a time. When you switch between you cable modem and your Xbox you need to use a pen and press the reset button on the arris every single time you switch.

SOURCE: i have an arris tm602gct and cannot connect thru my netgear

Can you connect if you are directly wired into the router?

You may want to try using a ball point pen and pressing the reset button on the back of the arris. Let it reboot and try again.

Some netgear routers come with the wireless disabled out of the box, so you need to be hard wired when you run the CD or if you try to connect through your browser 192.168.1.1

SOURCE: Arris Modem won't work with Airport Express

Not sure how helpful this will be, as I'm running a different piece of gear, plus it requires both troubleshooting + ISP assistance.  I had a similar problem with my AirPort Extreme: AirPort Extreme saw the Arris, iBook saw the AirPort Extreme, but no internet connectivity.

  1. In my case, I needed to set the AirPort to DHCP in the AirPort Utility application.
  2. Power down the AirPort Extreme
  3. Power down the Arris. You achieve this by unplugging the Arris *and* removing the back-up battery.
  4. Wait a few moments.
  5. Insert the battery into the Arris.
  6. Plug in the Arris power supply.
  7. Wait for the Arris to go through the restart protocol; when all the lights on the front panel are solid green, the start-up is complete.
  8. Power up the AirPort Extreme; wait for the front panel light to go solid green.
As I was doing this, I had my ISP on the phone that confirmed complete connectivity of the signal path and ensured that I was online.  While the Arris was powered down, my ISP also sent a "message" to the Arris; I don't know if this was a software update or what.  I completed the AirPort set-uo through the Utility application, the AirPort restarted, and I was online.
Hope this helps.

SOURCE: Arris cable modem

if the power light is flashing then the modem is on battery backup and internet is disabled. plug the power cord into the modem or find a working power outlet, you should be set after that.

Power light flashing=bad

Where to find the password

http://arris.force.com/consumers/articles/General_FAQs/SBG6782-Admin-Login-Setup

if you have not changed the default password and user name !
it is listed on the web page on the above link

Go to wireless tab at top of screen and look up WPA Key or WEP key and make a note of what it is on 2.4 GHz frequencies as I think this will be dual band with 5 GHz as well but Ipad will run on 2.4 GHz only as it will be 802.11n as opposed to 802.11AC

Note if you changed the user name password or user name you will have to reset the router back to factory defaults but be aware everything defaults so ISP cable settings reset (would need ISP to tell you what they are and help set them back up)
(wireless settings change so you need ethernet cable directly into router to set up wireless)
Hopefully your still set up on the router on the default user name and password !

Arris modem blinking and won't let my ipad connect to internet

Reset the modem. Unplug from power for about 30 seconds, replug and wait perhaps 2 minutes. Does it work now? If not, what lights are blinking? Depending on the model, the lights should tell you what is and is not working. The troubleshooting guide in the manual should tell you what is going on. You did not give a model number. I hope this helps you.

Apple products won't connect to network

May experience is that a lot of Apple products have problems with 5 Ghz wireless unless the conditions are near perfect. 5 Ghz has more difficulty penetrating things like walls than the older 2.4 Ghz. If during the setup you decided to disable the 2.4 Ghz, this could be the problem.

HP office jet6500a is not detected by ipad2. Using an arris 550 modem and linksys wrt110

sounds like an Ipad problem not a router problem. Apple products (ipad, ipod, iphone) are very tricky to set up on wireless devices as they require settings router that windows devices have no problem with. I would seek answers from apple.com
