last belt drive kenmore came out in 1986..so doubt you find a belt on it unless you have a calypso model..if you have pump out but no spin motor to gearcase coupling is probably broke

SOURCE: how do I replace a lid switch on a kenmore heavy

I just stuck a wooden clothes pin in the hole to keep the little level in check. My landlord's washer had that problem and he didn't want to pay to fix it. It ran great for many more years after I stuck the wooden clothes pin in it.

SOURCE: Kenmore Washer will not drain

Hi, When the the water is suppose to be draingin, do you hear the motor humming at all?
It could be that something is plugging the pump. You can tip the washer toward the wall and look underneath. The pump is right behind the front panel and easy to get to. You can try lowering the drain hose into a bucket and see if the water will release.
Please let me know if this helps you or if I can assist you further.

Kenmore 90 Series Heavy Duty Top Load Washer Model 110.28922790 water fills in tub and it's draining at the same time. Won't go through the normal cycle just keeps filling and draining. Any help...

You may have a condition known as "siphoning". This is caused by the drain hose not being high enough off the floor, or not having a proper air gap at the standpipe in order to drain properly. This creates a suction and the washer will constantly drain as it tries to fill. The following link explains:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r3575830-how_to_prevent_washer_siphoning

In the majority of the cases, this problem is attributed to improper installation, rather than an actual problem with the washer. If you have any questions, please post back and let me know. I hope this helps you.

Washer not spining

Replace the loose belt. Regarding the dripping oil, look for the defective shock absorber. Good luck!

Washing machine overflowing

I'd have a look at your water level detector to start with. Usually a narrow bore hose running from near the bottom of the drum to a pressure switch somewhere near the top of the machine. Most common problem is that the hose gets blocked with gunk. With the machine off and drained, try removing the hose and giving both it and the barb on the drum that it came from a good clean through. A.
