SOURCE: Kodak EasyShare M753 bent lense

Most of the time, if you can get a sharp knife to SLIGHTLY dig into the part of the tube that is bent, you can CAREFULLY wedge the tube back out. (With the camera OFF) then when you turn it back on, the camera will reset the lens and all will be ok. I've done this with three cameras so far.... ALL involving 13-year-olds dropping them!!! What is it with 13? Unfortunately, MY 13 year-old, smacked the 2.5 inch screen, and the crystal broke... Other than a $50 part on e-bay, I'm having trouble finding a REASONABLE priced replacemement...
Sigh....

SOURCE: purple and blurry pictur on the kodak easyshare m753

That is probably a faulty digital sensor array.

Try taking a picture and transferring the picture on a computer. If the picture on the computer is fine , then it is a faulty LCD.
If the picture is purple and blurred, the digital sensor array or the control board is defective.

The digital sensor array is the light sensible sensor chip that take the picture.

On a small camera like this can be a difficult and expensive repair.

Contact the phone number listed on the user manual and ask a quote for the repair, or ask if a warranty extension is available.

SOURCE: my kodak easyshare M753 has pink tint and lines

its obvious a malfunction that didn't occur by bad handling ..and if the device it is still in the warranty period , my advice is to go for it if you never open it or other things that you wouldn't suppose to do

Hello Charles, On a Kodak this age it is not going to be worth having repaired. The cost will exceed the price of a replacement camera, sorry.

I think i have connected the wrong charger/adaptor now cameraseems dead?????

Unless you are lucky the chances are very dim. But take a chance and get teh camera opened to find the right issue . A check on the board will indicate the fault. however if you lucky the prrotection zener would have shorted and saved the main board.
So check this out but take help to open and investigate.

BATTERIE DEAD...WONT CHARGE

REmemeber if you're charging the batteries though the computer NOT to switch the camera on. In order to determine the exact fault for your no power issue please try the following: 1. Clean the battery contacts. a. Remove the battery/batteries and the memory card from your camera, then wipe the battery contacts with a soft, clean cloth. b. Reinstall the battery/batteries into your camera. Please make sure that you are installing a fresh/ fully charged battery c. Turn the camera on. 2. Without the memory card, turn your camera on. (If it works then it?s your memory card that is faulty) 3. Please test with the a different battery If you do not have access to another battery Try these steps instead: Please take the battery out of the camera. b. Insert the charger into the unit from the main socket and turn the camera on. If the camera works you will need to replace the battery. If you camera doesn?t switch on you will need to order a no power repair with KODAK or a new cable.

Unless you have a spare battery and/or external charger it will be hard to tell if the charging circuit is defective or the battery is bad. I have seen posts in other forums with the same issue. I assume the camera is under warranty but you may want to purchase a spare battery and charger anyway as a backup if you are going to keep it.
