I've had Dogz 5 for a while and it would always work then one day while loading it it stops at a certain point every time and says there's an error report and I've uninstalled it and reinstalled it atleast 10 times.
there's nothing wrong with the disc though cause it works just fine at my dads house but not at my moms.
and it hasn't been working though since this summer.
it almost finishes then just freezes and that error report thing pops up and sometimes i click send error report and I just don't know it really bugs me cause I really want to play it. The Disc has been cleaned i've deleted everything off dogz 5 and install it and I've just done anything and I don't know what's wrong. and i'm not really sure what freezer117 was saying.
I have no idea how to copy a dvd or whatever.

I have th sam prob 2 :( wen it gets 2 a certain point, it just stops. I have uninstalled it 3 times in a row, each time reinstalling it but no, it won't work. :,(
I had the sam prob b4 but wen i tried loading it 1 day it just loaded but i had lost all my dogs and items please help!!!!!

I have both games and on the catz 5 game it runs but there is no sound, dogz 5 on the other hand doesn't work at all!!!!! When it has nearly finished loading it stops and that's it. I have uninstalled it 11 times (i have counted!!) and reinstalled it, and that's on both. I have tried the fixing method that is all ready on this page but that does not work. Please if anyoneknows any other method, please type it in. well i bought it at PC world and it will just stop one day while i wanted to check on my dogs while loading it just stopped in the middle and i had to start all over again by removing it, only 3 hours after i last checked it! My best friend has dogz 5 that she bought it from Notcuts and it works fine! She has a laptop but it is the same make as mine, windows vista! So help!! This happened to mine 2. I uninstalled it, but the folder was still there, so I went on search, local disk, and searched ubi soft then deleted it. After that it worked, except I've noticed if you press save pets when uninstalling, it doesn't work.
If I want to keep my pets, I go into the ubi soft folder, adopted petz, then I drag my pets to a new folder I make on the desktop. When the game is reinstalled, I put the pets in the folder back into the adopted petz folder.
This has been the solution for me, but I don't know if it will work for others. Good luck!
Your dad's drive may be more sensitive to a bad disk sector,try to make a copy on your dad's dvd rom and then try it (yhe copy)to your mom's home,i think this easier than change your dvd rom,otherwise you should check any new added software which may conflict
This may be due to a corrupted file, Firstly remove all hexed files (those which did not originally come with your game). If Petz 5 still won't load remove all Petz from the Adopted Petz folder. If your game now loads replace the petz one a time, opening and closing petz as you do so until you find the corrupted file. Please note that Petz 5 will not import a mother which still has her baby with her from an earlier version of the game. If you have placed such a pet into the Adopted Petz folder your petz 5 program will not open.

When you reinstall the game do you click 'yes' to 'do you want to save your petz'?
You need to click 'no for it for work. You will lose all your petz.. but its the only way (that i know of) to get ur game working again.
Also, when you go to play the game, go to My Computor and click on Petz5 to play, instead of playing it from the shortcut or whatever. That means you need to have the disk permentently in.
And, when you fastforward (time glitch) only forward one day at a time (opening up petz after you forward, closing, and going forward another day).

I had this same problem. So what I did was I went to the Petz 5 folder and clicked on Adopted Petz. I moved all my pets into another folder. Then I uninstalled and reinstalled the game, moved all my pets back into the Adopted Petz folder, started up the game it it was all good! Hope it works for you!
