Recently I decided to edit my .psd file and saw an error - Photoshop could not open the files in the format Adobe Photoshop JPEG File. I don't know what I can do about it now.
Try drag and dropping the image in a web browser.
After the browser opens the image, right click and save the image.
Then try opening it in Photoshop.
One more method is sufficiently new, it is called Photoshop Online Service repair photoshop file https://www.psd.repair/ - it works with all the popular platforms.
You might try saving your psd file somewhere else, and try deleting it.

You can one of two ways. Go online to sites like http://www.onlinedocumentconversion.com/
or http://www.converttoword.com/ where you can upload scanned pages that you
want to edit, and then download them in editable format. You end up in low cost
method of few cents a page DIY and you can edit anytime anywhere safely.
Alternately buy a good OCR software (costs around $300 or so), install on your
PC, learn its ins and outs and then convert to text or word and then edit.
