Measure the distance from the center of the bottom bracket/crank to the top of the seat tube.

This is your frame size.

SOURCE: front suspension to soft on mongoose xr-75

The front forks aren't adjustable, as you probably figured out. You can, however, get harder springs if the springs can be accessed at the top of the fork tube. If not, do what I did on my mountain bike. I bought a better pair of adjustable forks that I found on eBay. It will take a bit of investigation on your part regarding the dimensions of the forks, so you get the correct length and width where the forks fit onto the frame (and the overall desired fork length), but you'll be a lot happier with adjustables.

SOURCE: loose handlebars on a Mongoose XR-75 mountain bike

Check the splines on the handle bar. Just loosen the "clamp" and slide the bar over to one side enough so you can tell if the are stripped or not. If they are then replace the bar, if not then reassemble and try to put a littlle extra torque on the bolt.

I have noticed with the 2 of these bikes that I have that the bars do not like to stay tight for long, they tend to work thier way loose about every other time we use them. I just keep tightening them untill the splines strip, then pick up a new bar.

Contact Mongoose for parts info at: www.Mongoose.com under "about" click ask mongoose.

Good luck.

SOURCE: mongoose tactic mountain bike / loose crank on

The crank has to be removed to tighten the nut that holds the gear on. I assume that is your problem is with the chain gear on the sproket that is loose

Testimonial: "I need a special tool to remove crank /nothing Ive ever seen"

The stem is loose when im riding but i tightend the L key on the top tight as possible n neck still loost any idea?

There are typically two allen bolts that mount on the side of the handlebar stem. Those should be tightened. The top one should only be tightened to remove up and down play in the headset. If you tighten the top one too tight, steering will feel clunky. Only tighten the top one tight enough to remove the up/down play. Use the side bolts to keep the handlebars from turning relative to the wheel.

I have a mongoose d series mt bike i stripped the crank on the sprocket side....where can i find one

Any Bike Shop or just assess the make/model size (probably printed or embossed on the crankarm and search the web for a set. No one sells just one crank.

You'll probably need special tools to remove it.

I need customer support number for mongoose. I need to order a back tire for my husbands mountain bike.

Tyre doesn't have to be original. Look on old tyre to see size ie.. 26*1.50 and order same size from any bicycle shop. Might be able to call your local bike shop to see if they have Mongoose tyres.

I am looking for bike that is a cross between a bmx bike and a mountain bike, ive seen the mongoose ritual series any other suggestions ?

Dude it basically is just a hardtail mountain bike shrunk down with a CroMo frame instead of the standard Alum frames everyone else uses. What is it that you're looking for as all bike makers have something very similar to this, I just bought my son a GT that looks almost identical.

I am trying to find out what size the Mongoose sx43 is. It is from 2000 and is bright yellow.

It could be one of several sizes. To determine the size you can measure the bike from the center of the bottom bracket (where the cranks install into the frame) up the seat tube to the top of the frame. This will give you the size of your bicycle.
