Need help. Can not get channels on tv. Called spectrum, told me to call you, got no answer just a robot. Can someone call me please?

You need a television remote. The Spectrum remote only does simple features. The Magnavox remote is available on Amazon and eBay.

I do not have AT&T or Spectrum email, so I can only provide the following web pages with suggested approaches.

You will probably have to try exporting all contacts to a .csv file, which can later be edited and then the final version of the .csv file can be imported into your spectrum email.

Apparently there is a menu item in AT&T email called Actions, and then choose and name a file with the last three letters .CSV as the list of contacts.

I had a similar problem in DEC 2017. Curiously the cable company stopped by in a week or so. (I did not call them for service.) It was a "SPECTRUM" truck and not an "OCEANIC" truck. Apparently Oceanic got bought out and the Technician was going around the neighborhood (Honolulu) searching for "Home Broadcasts" I remember reading about WW2 military was looking for homes with RF signals (looking for spys) I'm a retired Army Signal Corps. The Spectrum tech installed a filter on my cable line to prevent our home from producing stray signals. He also told me that my 'analog' TV won't work in JAN 2018 as they are switching to all digital by then. Says my cable will work for a while but expect the company to switch all the cable boxes out to digital. Sure enough my TV stopped working (on analog channel 3) and my cable box stopped sending the analog signal to my analog set. I found out that some of the other outputs worked (HDMI, Optical, etc.) I got the Bedroom TV (bought 2017) to work on HDMI. Picture is crisp BUT I don't seem to have the picture size right. It's smaller than normal (on analog) and changing screen from normal, wide, zoom, etc. really makes it worse. Panoramic is the best so far. Now I notice our older 'Monitor' 42" Plazma (2010?) still works on Chan 3 analog signal. I didn't have another HDMI ($30) cable so I tried using my old DVD Yellow-White-Red RCA cables and found it did not work.
* So.. Short answer; you need to get your TV hooked up to the HDMI output of the cable box. But I would check with your cable company first to see if they can resolve your issue. Now days, they can use a computer (from their end) to correct the problem or send out a service tech.

ok,if you have a subscription to cable,you will have a cable box,you will only need to put your tv on cable and ch 3 or 4 on your tv,you dont need to search for channels,if you dont have a subscription,then you are trying to pick up over the air channels,they are called digital channels,you will need a digital tv antenna and your hdtv,you will change the settings on your tv to air or antenna,then you can search for digital channels,there are no more analog channels like we had when we are kids,they are all digital and dont need to be tuned in,if you still cant get channels please have someone help you.

You may need an older tv to be able to use this old console, have you tried the manual tuning option if you have it.

I found a better way and it works fine. I have a new 32 inch Emerson, with only one composit hood up ( which won't work with the wii) 2 HDMI's ( again does not hook up to the wii, the monitor hook up for PC, red and white ( yellow plus is not there it's for a stereo they told me), and the usb hook up ( which is more for pictures I was told by the company).The answer was to hook my RCA plus to the red and white under the composite, then hook the yellow into the green plug of the composite, and behold- my will now works fine.

Sounds like my cable company. I told the service guy off. I told him how the cable company is a big rip off

With that said some what you do or will need a box later. to use pay-prview or to watch HBO Showtime or a movie channel you pay for and cable channels you need a digital box.

Do you need a digial box with what you wrote you all ready has a D/A tuner bulit in your TV. Ask your do I get all the channels I watch without a Digi box if you answered Y than No you don't need a box if you see ads for a new channel you want than yes you will need a box. Call your cable comp. and ask for a channel line up. to see what channels you can get with and without a box.

Sorry to write so much but thats the only way I can answer you. I'm in the same boat I called the cable company and they told me I still needed a box I watch movies on the weekends. Well any way I Hope I Help you a LOADS.

I have not solved the problem. I can't figure out how to get the information from you to see if your suggestion will work. and I certainly cannot pay someone to help me. I cannot understand why a company would refuse to help us out without paying. Or how to make it understandable how to get to you to get the help. I've never heard of a company that does not have support or a telephone number to reach them to solve problems. No wonder I have never heard of this brand of TV before. It doesn't seem to be a reliable company to deal with. If I'm wrong about this I apoligize.
WILL YOU PLEASE HELP US? How do I figure out your answer to my question? I used the password you gave me and read all those questions and answers but none were mine. So if I was in the wrong place, please help me to get to the right place.

Sounds like an eeprom problem or a microprocessor problem??? Also make sure the tv didnt lose its channel memory by reprogramming the channels feature in the menu. Good Luck
