Hi, I bought two roborovsky hamsters this afternoon, one seems fine, but the other keeps jumping from side to side in the corner of the cage. Is there something wrong with her?

She started by running along one side of the cage but now she seems to be stuck in the corner going from one side to the other

Stress from being moved. They are very energetic hamsters. They don't like stress but 9 times out of ten they will settle down and get used to their new surroundings. Hope they pulled through

SOURCE: 05 ford escape wont start. jump started it and it

okay try this....talk to your parts store and get a battery load tester, and find out if the battery is indeed dead. My guess is it sounds like the Altenator is dying. they are around 50-100 and can be install by a pro in minutes.

SOURCE: hi .....EF fford falcon ,

Normally it is a power steering leak and the oil leaks onto the altenator, causing a short in the altenator.

Can i feed my hamster rat and mouse food?

If this was the other way around, I would say it'd be okay for a couple of days. Hamsters have a pretty advanced digestion system and can get bloaty and sick when fed the wrong things. But never fear if you google hamster food you can find some more ''organic?" supplements until you can make it back to your local store. Rats/Mice on the other hand are made to hoard their food. They don't stuff it in their cheeks, although mine likes to sometimes it seems, they like to hide their food. Doing this they burn more energy and need a higher energy/protein diet.

I don't buy rat food, I make my own. I did the same with my hamster too with the store bought mix. Here's a list from my memory you can give hamsters that you may have around the house.

Carrots
Apples
Granola (Good for teeth!)
Cooked red meat (like hamburger meat)
Water Chestnuts
Nuts
Shelled almonds (more fun!)
Bread/Toast (My friend made peanut buttered toast for her hammy)
Fish (fully cooked!)
Eggs (Scrambled/Boiled no fried)
Cheese (in moderation)
Mealworms and crickets (you probably don't have these but for future reference :) )
Dog Biscuits (Try to stay away from some high in protein, and it's good for their teeth!)

Hope that helps!

I have a wire floor in my hamsters cage, can they get hurt?

Wire floors even the ones with narrow spaces, can causesores to your pet. The best cage will be without wire floor (even if it iseasier to clean...). If you have a wire floor, it should be covered with grass ora piece of wood or even sisal mat.

What is the best sort of cage to keep a hamster in?

Glass aquariums areideal hamster cages, ensure that there is a place with lots of bedding for themto sleep and plenty of things for them to do and they like to use wheels. Oldtoilet rolls make great little tubes for them to run around.

Blower motor relay keeps blowing

When your blower motor relay (resistor) goes out, it's a good time to drop the blower motor assembly and check for any obstructions in the fan cage (looks like a hamster wheel). Some examples I've come across in the shop over the years include: leaves, twigs, huge amounts of cotton stuffing that mice have dragged in, and once the actual deceased mouse. Those things overwork/overheat the draw and can pop the resistor in a heart beat.

Also, if there are no obvious obstructions, it could be that the blower motor has too much resistance and needs to be replaced simply due to age/long-term usage.

Looking around online the blower motor resistors seem to run $25-$35 and the replacement motor assembly with fan cage is around $60. If there isn't anything stuck in the fan cage, I'd replace both items.

Please let me know how you make out.
