Hi.
I just bought an in-car charger for the 7211 on ebay.
It is 5v with a 2amp flow.
It's not for the mini-USB port on the side but for the dc input hole on the other side.
I've just plugged it into my laptop via the mini-USB port to see if it will charge that way but it doesn't seem to be doing.

barrel pin 12v 500Ma is correct. the only other required stat that you need to know is that the polarity is( ---------that's how the inside pin polarity is shown on the transformer. Go to any radio Shack, and they have this charger in stock. tell them you need a 120v. a/c input, 12v. DC 500 ma output, with the center (inside) pin positive( ).It should be less than $20.00

The original charger needed a converter with a min 12VDC 3330mA output. Having a muli-tip Universal Power Supply, I manufactured an adapter from an Inline Receptacle that matched one of the tips and a 2 Pin Polarized Quick Disconnect Cable (check Workman Electronic Products TP-2) This takes some soldering skills and the only thing that is critical is making sure that you have the correct polarity to the correct pin. The +POSITIVE output on the Universal was to the center pin and the +POSITIVE pin on the 26MCP is marked on the Plug Cover as the lower pin closest to the base. I chose the red wire to POSITIVE pin.
