How to connect Alexa to your Wi-Fi network

Apr 10, 2023 - To connect Alexa to Wi-Fi, open the Alexa app on your phone or tablet once your speaker or smart display is in setup/pairing mode.

Here are 4 solutions for your reference.

It is probable that there are something wrong with the Wi-fi which your phone is currently connected to. For example, the password of the network is changed but you are still using the old one. In this case, you can wipe the Wi-fi on your phone and then re-add it manually. The details are as below:

Optional - Connect to a public network: Enter any required information if you are connecting to a public network that requires a web browser to sign in, like a school or hotel. The information could be a pre-shared password, room number, or just a button to accept conditions for using the network. This information cannot be saved to Amazon. Select Connect. After your device connects to your Wi-Fi network, a confirmation message appears in the app.

From the Home screen, press MENU, and then tap Settings > Wireless & networks.
Select the Wi-Fi check box to turn Wi-Fi on. The phone then scans for available wireless
networks.

Tap Wi-Fi settings. The network names and security settings of detected Wi-Fi networks
are displayed in the Wi-Fi networks section.
If the wireless network you want to connect to is not in the list of detected networks,
scroll down the screen, and then tap Add Wi-Fi network. Enter the wireless network
settings, and then tap Save.

Tap the Wi-Fi network you want to connect to.
If you selected an open network, you will be automatically connected to the network.
If you selected a network that is secured with WEP, enter the key and then tap
Connect.

Depending on the network type and its security settings, you may also need to enter more information
or choose a security certificate.
When your phone is connected to a wireless network, the Wi-Fi icon appears in the
status bar and tells you the approximate signal strength (number of bands that light up).
The next time your phone connects to a previously accessed secured wireless network, you
will not be prompted to enter the key or other security information again, unless you reset
your phone to its factory default settings.

go to settings, select " Wireless & Networks "
select "Wi-fi" ( It will turn the Wi-fi on )
after the "Wi-fi" is on, then select "Wi-fi settings"
then you will see some Wi-fi networks.

then select the wi-fi networks you know, and depend on the security of the Wi-fi, you sometime have to enter the pass key to get in to the network.

5. If you wish to access a hidden network, select Add Wi-Fi network and enter the SSID
6. If a password is required, you'll be prompted to enter this before connecting

If Wi-Fi is turned off, you can now turn this on by ticking the box in the Wireless & networks menu.

Try this:

Press the Home button, then press the Menu button.

Navigate to "Settings" by moving the 5-way controller down, then press the 5-way controller to select.

Select "view" next to "Wi-Fi Settings" to display a list of detected Wi-Fi networks.

Use the 5-way controller to navigate down to "Enter other Wi-Fi network" and press to select.

Enter the name of the Wi-Fi network that you want to add.

Enter the password (if required). Press the Symbol key to enter numbers or characters not present on the Kindle keyboard. You can continue to use the keyboard while the Symbol menu is displayed.

Choose "submit." Kindle connects to the new Wi-Fi network.

Best if you use your wireless connection as the data will transfer faster when you do this. ( I'll assume you don't know how to do this as too much info is better than not enough)

To do this press -

2 All Apps
3 Settings
4 Wireless and Networks
5 Turn on Wi-Fi

If you don't have Wi-Fi connection follow same steps but turn on Mobile Network instead of Wi-Fi

Then back up to the home screen

Select

2 All apps
3 Market

This will take you to the android market where you can dowload loads of apps, for free or some you have to pay for.
When you are in the market select the magnifying glass in the top right hand corner of the screen then type in "themes" or more specifically "i phone themes" and you will get loads to choose from, if you cant find the one you want for free the usual price I saw for them was about £0.63, depends how bad you want the theme.
