If you shine a flashlight on the screen can you see that theres a picture on the screen but your just not seeing it because of the dead backlights? Most of the time, when there is sound but no picture its failed backlights, this can be a few different things, a failure in the power supply, a failure in the LED backlight driver board, or the LED's themselves have failed. Your only option is to take it to somewhere that can repair it, or toss parts at it until it works, or just toss it and buy a new TV. Most TV's made today are not really designed to be repaired or repairable. But someone with enough skill and experience can usually fix that issue, i do it all the time. But you have to consider the cost of repair versus a new TV, they are so much cheaper now!

In some models of LCD TVS; the backlight inverter and its T'Con board will be a part of the panel itself, and will be a built-in type inside the LCD panel. If so, they can't be replaced. In this case; a panel replacement is the only repair. For some other models, the backlight inverter section circuit will be a part of the main power supply regulator [SMPS]. To such sets, the power supply section circuit too should trouble shoot. Contact any service technician. The circuit will differ with models and versions.

T-con board and/ or main board. T-con controls the picture elements and the main board sends the picture signals to the T-con board
