The door on LG front loader washing machine won’t unlock

If your LG is similar to mine, there could be water in a hose that is located behind the small door on the bottom front of the washer. Open the door and drain the hose. Be sure to have a bowl or pan to let the water run into. Once the water is drained hopefully the washer door will open. When i brought my washer this was one of the selling features the sales person told me about.( The door and hose are accessible to the consumer to prevent them from having to call for a repair) Hopefully this will be your only problem. I bought an LG washer on June 28, 2008. It is now August 21st and my machine is still broken. It broke the FIRST time I ever used it (July 13th) and it still has not been repaired. (Per the repair person it is a water sensor problem which has been "ordered") I wish I had purchased another kenmore instead. I had my kenmore 16 years and never ONCE has a problem with it. I simply wanted to update my laundry room. WHAT A MISTAKE for me to purchase LG!!!!

On a Bosch wfmc3200uc there is a green plastic string, similar to fishing line, located behind the round panel on the front of the machine. It is attached to the top right of the round black piece. Just give a slight tug this will release the lock.

Remove three screw at bottom of washer, pull of lower panel, reach up on right side just under the locking mechanism and bull ring down. door should unlock.

FOR ANY REASON THE WASHER MACHINE DIDNT FINISH ITS CYCLE!!! AND IT IS A SAFETY THAT IF DOESNT FINISH ITS CYCLE THE DOOR WONT OPEN!!!!

I HAD ONE LIKE THAT AND I BROKE IT APART!! AND I SAW THE WATER PUMP WAS THE PROBLEM SO I CHANGED IT AND PUT IT BACK TOGETHER AND LET FINISH ITS CYCLE AND OPEN THE DOOR!!! AND STILLS RUNNING!!!

Slide a paint scraper or similar between the machine and the latch side and push it quite hard and it should open. Mine does and I found the fix on this site!
