Yes , the machine can be converted to manual operation but will require a set of timers , switches and wiring so that the independent cycles of the program are controlled by these manual modes.
You will need to wire the motor to a timer, the input and drain to switches. All these functions protected by bypassing the door switch which will reset power only when door is closed.

contact the machine manufacturer's customer support and you can ask them what error E5 is you could also ask for new manual and that might have error codes in it , make sure you have serial number and 12 digit number .
