This watch will keep great time if it has been wound via crown.

SOURCE: Rolex runs down

Unfortunately, it actually may be true that the watch is functioning properly.
A self-winding watch that keeps running down can be an early symptom of Parkinson's disease.

SOURCE: Rolex watch stops only when I wear it

Kristy,
Stress won't affect your watch's timekeeping ability, but position will. When you lay the watch down at night, in which position is it? Also, during the day, is your arm in a static position for long periods of time? A Rolex chronometer (like the Datejust) should run approx. 36 hours after being fully wound -- without any movement. If the watch stops dead, then there is a problem with the movement and/or rotor. If it losses time, I'd bet on a static position problem. Let me know the answers to those questions and I'll try to help you get to the bottom of the problem.

SOURCE: i want to adjust the steel bracelet on my new GMT II

You can do it yourself but proper watchmakers screwdriver is needed.
Check the sides of your bracelet and you will see screw ends with grooves. Unscrew them and adjust your bracelet (take the links out). Then screw them back in.

SOURCE: Rolex GMT Master II date changing after midnight

If it still under warranty take it back to rolex, other wise take it to an indpendent watchmaker they should be able to fix it for a small fee. The watch probably doesnt need a service yet if it is new.

My rolex works good on the table, but stops every now and then when i am wearing it

That's not good, obviously. Who serviced it?
How long ago? Do you have a receipt with warranty of service?
Generally, Rolex's run forever without much service. If an authorized Rolex technician worked on your watch, it would be running like a .... Like a Rolex! Kidding aside, get in touch with the services, nukes you were simply told that by the seller.

Water

You would have to unscrew the back (needs a special tool) and leave it open to dry..then probably have it cleaned. Only a professional watch mender can do this.
BUT Rolex watches are water resistant. It either isnt as Rolex, or you went too deep

Nail on the head. Take it to a good repair/service shop that does Rolex service. Know this, it wont be cheap. But you will get the watch back in great condition and it will run perfect.

My rolex datejust watch has stopped working...rolex watches don't operate on batteries right? Why has it stopped ticking?

mcdevito75 here, The answer is no, Rolex watches do not operate with a battery. Most Rolex watches are Automatic winding with the motion of your wrist / arm. Of course if you leave your Rolex on the dresser for say 30 hours, it will run down, simply hold the watch in your hand and with a gentle rocking motion say from 6--to 12 O'Clock for about 30 seconds, this will give your automatic Rolex an initial wind up, from there you just wear the watch and it will continealy wind itself. You may also have the non automatic Rolex in which case you would have to wind it dailey. If your Rolex will not run at all no matter what you try, Check out the repair service directory here at fixya, bottom of the page click on repair service directory then watches.

How do i set the the 24 hour hand in a rolex 16758

Yours is the original GMT Master. The GMT Master II allows the GMT hand and the regular hour hand to be set differently but not on your older model. On yours, the regular hour hand the the GMT hand are fixed so that if the triangle on the rotating bezel is at the top, the GMT hand will indicate local time. To indicate time in a 2nd timezone, rotate the bezel to orient the time to the GMT hand. There's a copy of the original instructions posted at: http://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=45269

When i change the 2nd time zone hand of my rolex gmt master II it makes my minute hand wobbles is this normal?

This happens due to friction between the wheels and cannon pinion in watch movement, especially if your Rolex has not been serviced for a few years, however, it should not affect timekeeping. I'd advise to show your watch to the watchmaker and clarify exact cause of this.
