Vizio p502ui-B1E screen freezes then restarts and goes black- sound works ok channels change just image either freezes or goes black, or patterns, replaced the T-Con board problem did not go away.

Back lights are gone or the voltage 2 them is not present. Cheaper to buy a new one.

Does the menu function display the same lines? What kind of cables are using ? (HDMI, Component vid, S-video, co-ax)
Were you as tenacious checking all cables/connections as you were the electronics? Lets rule out this all too often over-looked possibility.
Do you still get the lines with nothing connected to the TV? (no source connected)

SOURCE: I have a vizio p502ui-b1e . I noticed a slight dark spot on it the other day. Does anyone know if this is an LED that is out or is it the LED Driver? I have already tried a factory reset.

It sounds like the LED array has a defective spot.

Those sets use LED backlights and the lights are driven to max luminosity. The individual LED failures cause the whole unit to cease
