Wow, the question was how to turn off captions on CBS All Access, not on your TV. In the All Access app, select Live TV. The CC indicator doesn't appear immediately. Select a live channel. Then, hit the back button to return to the live TV channel selection screen. You will now see the CC symbol in the lower left. Navigate to it and toggle the setting with the select button on your "streaming" remote. YAY! As far as I can see, this is the only correct answer on the net. A search reveals nothing. BTW, it's a horrible location for that toggle!
I agree!
Exactly the fix I needed - it worked. Thanks!
Thanks for the help
Doesn't work.
Than you! This is the only solution that worked.

SOURCE: Closed Captioned
Assuming whatever your TV receiving from has close caption. (Not all TV channel has close caption) Solution 1) Get a new universal remote that support your model and has close caption button. Once you program in the code for your TV model and it works then all button should also programmed including th close caption button. Solution 2) Search online for the owner manual and read see how to turn it on using buttons on TV (if possible). Solution 3) Get new TV with close caption. (If you have an old old TV with bad and huge pixels then this solution is the best. Your eyes will thank you.)
SOURCE: DV2150 Close Captioning
Same problem here.
Instructions for DV2150 say you can access closed caption toggle by going to SETUP, then OTHER then CAPTION, but this (CAPTION) option is missing from the menu. I, too am struggling with the Jeopardy game buzzers, which I cannot program. Was wondering if the lack of "closed caption" is the reason
SOURCE: Closed Caption won't turn off
cannot turn off closed caption on 27" insignia. the option screen which illustrates the closed caption category, is not highlighted and you cannot manually choose that option from the remote control.
SOURCE: Closed Caption
On the universal remote hit the menu button then on the TV itself use the vol +/- to select and the channel +/- to move the it up and down. it that simple
SOURCE: toshiba 62hx94 cant shut off closed caption have comcast cable
The problem was with the Motorfolla Comcast cable box not my T.V. . I turned off my Comcast cable box, pressed menu on the remote to the cable box. This made a 16:9 ratio appear on the cable box's LED read out, and a bluish screen appear on my television. One of the options on my television was to turn on and off closed captioning. Therfore, I turned off closed captioning and the problem was solved.
if you ever forget your
code, the 0, 7, 1, 1 code is the factory
default and can be used to
enter and create a new access
code.
After unlocking the code you have to reset all the settings again if you wants.
OK.
