When the timer, clock etc didn't light up my oven stopped working. Replaced the clock display unit and all is now fine. A simple switch over just remove one wire at a time and place it on the new unit, the only difficult part was gaining access to remove the display unit itself.
Hello Friends! This dimming vacuum display is either caused by a power supply failure with the control board, or a the filaments of the display themselves have started to wear-- similar to that of a bad light bulb. Either way, FixYourBoard.com can solve this problem. Contact them 512-355-1108 for more information. The photo below is from a double oven, but we repair single oven displays too.
ISOLATE MAINS POWER BEFORE REMOVING
The LED display uses low voltage input, often a connection problem causes the display to stop working, check wiring carefuly, as small light connectors is used. If all wiring connections look and feel secure, you have to dig deeper, a multimeter would be handy, to measure input voltage, but a level of understanding electrics or even better electronics would be required. If unsuccessful referr to whitegoods.co.uk for a replacement you will need the model and serial numbers to check for the correct part.
Hope this has been helpful.

The issue with these displays is they lose their intensity over time because of the fluorescent tube technology they use, hence the only remedy is to replace the control/display kit...the display only is not available.
You can find these "display kits" at "repairclinic.com" for around $275USD and includes what I've attached here...
**Your other option, and the one I recommend, is to have the existing display and control rebuilt...the down side is this will require the parts to be removed and sent away**
Here you'll find all the info pertaining to this option by clicking on the link I've provided below
