This could be due to a power issue, a faulty power supply, or a faulty main board. To determine the cause, you will need to open the TV and check the power supply and main board. If you are not comfortable doing this, you should contact a qualified repair technician to diagnose and repair the TV.
Before do anything else take the tv and heat the back side with dryer. Winter time issue. Due to cold environment. Works for me.

Those blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. If blinks continue without any pause, the main board is faulty.

5 times blinks shows White Balance error in tv. You need to adjust Screen Volts (G2) and problem will resolve. Screen volts controls located at Focus Block as shown in below picture.

Yes....this blinking code is a diagnostic fault code which is a good thing, you count the number of blinks and it tells you where the problem is.....you also can see it by pressing the buttons, DISPLAY,CHANNEL,5,volume - not + ,then power....In your case it blinks 5 times,its in the video out,you need a desoldering iron,solder,rosin core 60%tin and 40%lead...remove and replace these,Q761,Q705,Q732 on the C board also Q218,Q219,Q220 on the A board.hope this helps.......
