It depends on the type of poison. With antifreeze, for example, I would worry about long term kidney damage. With poisons that affect the neurological system, I would worry about seizures and neurological problems.
Go to a vet NOW. They can die from internal bleeding. A blood toxicology test must be done to determine the level of poisoning and may require your dogs be put on a vitamin K treatment for anything up to 6 weeks or even a blood transfusion.

It killed 2 of my dogs before I found this group, my last dog was saved by getting him off this poison! Even my vet hadn't heard of it yet. The chemical is the same used in anti-freeze. My vet even asked me if they could have gotten into any anti-freeze. Horrible what it did to them. There is a class action law suit against them now. BE SAFE JUST DON'T FEED IT TO YOUR PETS! I'll never buy another Purina product again.
Yes, propylene Glycol or antifreeze is very dangerous for dogs. It tastes kind of sweet and they may drink it. According to PetMD: " less than three ounces (or 88 ml) of antifreeze is sufficient to poison a medium-sized dog. Antifreeze poisoning affects the brain, liver, and kidneys." This is why it can also cause seizures.
A recent lawsuit filed against Nestle Purina PetCare Company is claiming that one of the company's most popular dog food brands contains toxins that are poisoning and even killing people's pets.http://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/lawsuit-claims-purinas-beneful-poisoning-killing-dogs-n312176
If you read the ingredients you may understand better. If it says chicken parts, that could be head, beaks, feathers, skin, fat, etc.
The ingredients my be corn or corn/soy products. All they are trying to get into the dog food is protein (animal skin would supply this), carbohydrates (fat or starches) and fibre (could be sawdust) Calcium (maybe ground up bone), could be cartilage etc.
Try table scraps, you know then what your dog it eating. Lawsuit Claims Purina Beneful Is Poisoning Killing Dogs
you should use Bromain to keep it stable and a water clarifyer as needed, stay away from those "aroma therapy" things, they cloud the water and change the PH/Alkalinity. After you fill the tub you can take a sample to any pool supply store and they will test it for you.
Check with a Vet,but gatorade contains electrolites that serve well to hydrate the dog,,,but other than the added salt, and other minerals, potassium and such ,no different than water
