SOURCE: kenmore top load (model # 110 82370120) drain problem

Good AM. I see here that you have a fairly old belt drive Kenmore washer. The real problem with these is that the parts for them are so very expensive anymore to get. A timer (which you may be needing) will run you around $100.00 to $175.00 depending on where you live. Very expensive repairs on these, but if you want to go for it, here are some hints to help. Sounds like you have one of three problems. First off PLEASE UNPLUG YOUR MACHINE BEFORE WORKING ON IT. Your timer may have lost or has a stuck contact inside (unrepairable in most cases) which is making it do something is shouldnt be doing in that area of the timer. This would probably be the most expensive of your repair. The next thing is it could be the water level switch could be going bad. This one is highly doubtful since it fills and stops filling, but I have heard (but never have seen) that they can short out sometimes and cause wacky operation. Both these issues can be fixed by remove the console rear panel and front knobs to remove both. The next item could be a defective wig-wag in the bottom of the unit. One of the positioning solinoids maybe going bad and sending bad signals back to the timer.

None of these problems are really hard to fix. And truthfully (even though some of these guys will be mad) you can sometimes find these parts on ebay for a halfway good price. Part numbers for each are:

Timer: 381860
Water Level Switch: 359712
Wig-Wag: 89814

Good luck with this one, and if you know how to use one, try to run resistance with an ohm-meter on your wig-wag to be sure your getting power flow through the soilnoids (you will have 2, be sure to unplug the solinoids before testing to be sure its a true test) before replacing.

SOURCE: LG Top Loader Fuzzy Logic 5.5. The water

Hi,
No you just need to get the drain hose up higher...the water is siphoning out and is either caused by the end of the drain hose still in water and not having an air gap or the hose is not going up higher then the top of your washer...
Lifting the hose up should give you an air gap and get the hose high enough to stop the siphoning...

SOURCE: Is there a height requirement

There is no requirement for the water inlet, but the drain hose does, one it comes out of the machine it needs to go up to roughly the height of the machine before it goes into the drain. Hope this helps

Wires on motherboard, which way around do the blue and brown wires go to the water level switch? Simpson 22s750 washing machine

There are more than one model of the 22s750, you need to give the full model number. All of the 22s750 models I have seen have wires on plugs. The plug goes in to the water level switch and the other end has a plug that goes on to the circuit board. Do you have seperate wires or have you pulled them out of the plug. Give the full details if you want help.

My top load electrolux washer machine, model MEX731CAS3 does not drain. it spins well and the cycle gets completed except the draining and centrifuging part. any suggestion?

The function of the pressure switch in the machine that gives a signal if the washing machine is full or empty with water.Spining cycle will start only if the machine is previously drain water and pressure switch overlapped to the empty position. Check everything about pressure switch and hydraulic circuit (tube and pressure chamber).

I have a frigid site affinity front loading tumble action washer. The water comes in but does not fill. Window in front shows no water accumulation. Otherwise it is functioning. The drain hose is 11 inches...

Not sure if this your first front load or not. A front load washer does typically fill up in to the window. Front load machines use a lot less water than a top loading machine.

Frigidaire Model:22S750 machine will wash wont spin dry clothes

Its usually a door lock problem, motor control board, or drain pump issue on front load models. if its a top loader model its probably your lid switch.

It dose not go to spin

Hi just read your posting. Now just a couple of questions.Does your machine drain the water If it does not drain the water remove most of the water by hand so you can tip the machine back so you can look underneath .Now you will see a pump to the front right of the machine. It will have a red or black fan attached to it.Turn the fan a few times to loosen the pump if it is tight .If it loosens when you turn the fan put it back on its feet and select a spin cycle and push the start button.Hopefully it starts to drain. If it drains it should spin. Please reply with additional information or if it starts to drain.Good luck.

ALL FUNCTIONS OF WASH CYCLE WORK EXCEPT WATER WONT DRAIN AND SPIN CYCLE WONT WORK,

Pump is blocked or shot

Pressure switch made telling the machine it is full of water hence no spin.

Drop hose into bucket to drain the water off and the machine should spin, you may be better dragging the washer to an outside door and let all of the water run away at once .

Make sure that the drain hose is unclipped from the back of the machine so that the bottom of the hose is as low as you can get it

This is a common problem with this machine. Per the manual E4 indicates that the machine is overloaded but this is incorrect. The machines has actually become water logged due to a design fault whereby some water is allowed to pool at the bottom of the machine rather being efficiently drained. Note that the area where the water pools is not rust resistant. To temporarily overcome the E4 error, tilt your machine backwards and the excess water will drain out the back corners. Remember to put some towels down to avoid a big mop up operation afterwards. I live in a coastal area so drain the machine this way once a month and then open up the back of the machine (don't do this if still under warrantee) to dry it out completely to minimise the rust.
