SOURCE: hotpoint condenser tumble dryer aquarius cdt00- wont dry

I am not familiar with this particular unit, but I have a condensing dryer (Malber) which pumps out the water by itself. I am guessing that your unit requires you to empty a bin manually. Even if the bin is empty, I think the unit thinks it needs to be emptied and that is why the dryer will not work to give you hot air. If you do have such a bin, it might have a weight switch which the unit uses to detect if the bin needs emptying. See if the weight switch is working. The same weight switch idea is used on dehumidifiers.

SOURCE: HOTPOINT AQUARIUS CONDENSER TUMBLE DRYER CTD40

There are three water reservoirs - one at the bottom behind the condenser, a second at the back bottom of the machine and then a third at the top which is the one you would normally pull out to empty.

There is a hole at the bottom of the filter in the first reservoir (at the back of the condenser) which leads to the second reservoir at the back. If the hole gets clogged up with lint/muck then the reservoir at the back does not fill up.

So to solve this, unplug the machine, take out the condenser (front left bottom of the machine) reach through to the back and mop up the spare water with a towel and check that the hole to the back reservoir - you can feel this it is towards the right side at the back of the machine is clear from muck.

Once you have cleared it, water will flow to the second reservoir and then (once you switch on the machine) up to the main removeable reservoir at the top.

Hopefully this helps. GB

How to fit vent hose in Philips AWB 650 tumble dryer?

I don't think a vent hose is an option. If you really need one because of condensation, buy a dryer with a condenser unit or change it for one with a hose option.

I have a TB condensing tumble dryer, model TM310W, which has always worked well, but lately, although the clothes are drying, there doesn't seem to be much water going into the reservoir. I can't find it...

The first decision you must make when buying a tumble dryer is whether to buy a vented or a condenser dryer. As you'd expect, there are pros and cons for both. This page helps you understand all of the differences, including the reliability and repair implications. Condensor tumble dryers are becoming more popular but vented tumble dryers still have some advantages and the convenience of not needing a venting hose (as always) requires some compromises.
Until I can put together my own reviews the best Tumble Dryer reviews available online are by Which?
Due to their resources and independence, Which? usually have the latest reviews and collect the opinions and experiences of thousands of members - Which? tumble dryer reviews (Plenty of free information but will need to be a subscriber (take advantage of the 1 month trial offer to get the full benefit)
Vented tumble dryers are cheaper than condenser dryers, they are also simpler, more reliable and more economical to run. According to Which? "on average, vented tumble dryers use about a fifth less energy than condenser dryers to dry a full load of cottons."
So why bother with a condenser tumble dryer? Well condenser tumble dryers are a convenience product but they do offer a solution to a genuine problem for some where venting the dryer outside is difficult or even impossible.
My advice would be that if your tumble dryer can be sited somewhere that allows you to correctly vent it outside, either through a wall or through a window, then a vented dryer is probably best. If this would be particularly awkward, then buy a good quality condenser dryer, which should condense the steam into water.
Modern washing machines now have a far superior spin speed, and, of the ones we recommend, the cheaper model has a 1200 spin speed, the other a 1400 spin speed... so your washing will be fairly reasonable (some items could be about ready to iron) and this, in turn, could affect your other choices.
Could you get away with just airers and a washing line? Or have you considered a dehumidifier?
A Spin Dryer... will work efficiently, and is cheap. The main advantage to it is that it is only the size of a large pedal bin, so it can be stored under the worktop in a small amount of space.
A Tumble Dryer... much more expensive... for a decent quality item you need to pay a quite steep price. They do a good job, but are another full size kitchen appliance to find room for.
A Washer/Dryer... instead of a washing machine... disadvantages, if it goes wrong then you have no back up in either the washing or drying department... and of course being a more complicated piece of machinery, it IS more likely to break down! The only advantage is that it will be a space saving item.]

I have a Bosch Maxx condenser tumble dryer that wont work.

Have you taken the condenser itself out from the bottom of the machine? Remove the condenser from the bottom door and rotate the clamp tags which secure it in. Slide condenser out (aluminium mutli-finned box assembly) and carefully take it outside. Use a garden hose with lots of water pressure to spray each vent passage carefully to clear lint and dust away. Passages must be cleared in both directions, long ways and cross ways. Cross ways is the problem area and once you finish clearing the air ways you should see daylight through the condenser easily. Reassemble and always clear lint filter in the door /drum area.
Good luck.
