The model tag is around the doorframe. I don't believe that's the correct model number. They are typically located in the front behind the door, or on the top panel they'll be a rectangular flap. That flap will lift up, and you grab the handle of the line screen and pull it out. Make sure it's pushed back in fully, and don't do it while it's running.
I can't find the user manual for this particular Whirlpool washer And manuals of a similar model number don't mention the filter location. The customer service phone number at Whirlpool is 1 800 253 1301 and they would want that model number to help. I thought this had a self cleaning filter. Sadly, lint filters may be in quite a variety of locations: https://www.mrappliance.com/blog/2017/march/the-washers-lint-trap-needs-cleaning-too/
Hello,, there is likely a switch incorporated in your lint filter assembly that is defective, a close examination of how the lint filter is positioned will reveal the location of the switch, you can use an ohm meter to check the switch operation or for the cost of it maybe just replace it, the control panel is not at fault.
The model number of your machine doesn't seem to exist but the thermal fuse, whether dryer is electric or gas, is always located on the blower housing together with the thermistor or cycling thermostat depending on the model of the dryer. The blower housing is located at the rear of the dryer if the lint filter of you dryer is located on top of thecabinet and can be accessed by removing the rear panel.
The blower housing is located on the front right bottom of the dryer if the lint filter is located on the door. It can be accessed by removing the kick panel.
The filter is in the agitator. Remove the agitator cap, and you will find it down there. The filter is pretty much useless. Even though you might get some lint in the filter, if it wasn't there the lint would go down the drain. This machine has a neutral drain feature where the lint gets pumped out with the rinse water before the bowl turns, so preventing the lint from being stirred up nd put through the clothes. Cheerts Tony.
Unplug the dryer. Remove the 2 screws at the lint filter location. Remove the rear panel, remove the air vent on the back left side
Use a vacuum to remove the treats.
There should be a rectangular flap on the top panel at the rear right of your dryer. the lint filter is in a chute if there is just a hole here then the filter is missing.
