hope yours is not an overseas model.japan made and meant for japanese market at times doesn't have an english language option setting.but lets try to find out and see if this helps.open the lcd panel.touch p-menu (located at the bottom right corner of the lcd screen).then touch menu.(first boxed item at the upper right hand of the screen)..you should see a circle w/icons on it and an up and down arrows at the top and bottom of it.use the arrows to move up or down the menu items.go highlight the icon that has a clock and a globe.now press ok (located at the bootom right side of the screen)it should give you 3 items.last one item is for the language settings.highlight it and press ok again.now, this last part you might need to select one setting at a time (don't forget to press ok once you selected a setting) until you come up w/the english language option. hope this serves you.goodluck.
SOURCE: Dear Sir,I have toyota Vitz imported from japan
contact the toyota customer service department on the web with all the vehicle details ( vin number -make -model -country of manufacture- engine serial number -nav unit serial numbe) and ask them for the code to make the unit work. It may take some time to get what you want as they will have to refer to the plant where the vehicle was made and get the records for the vehicle build plan to find the unit that was installed.
