Sam4s er-290 is missing a line in receipt. Not faded, just totally missing. Happened overnight. Empty line all down right side of receipt. (example $21.32 will show $21. 2).

It depends upon the problem. If it just needs the print wheel lubricated it will be cheap. If they have to replace the printer, could be a couple of hundred or moreIt depends upon the problem. I wish you lived in So CA (I assume you don't). I never got a call back from the company I contacted. I'm not afraid to fix things. You could try but it isn't always easy to get at them. If you remove the ribbon, you'll see that there is a small print wheel for each column of print that has numbers 0 to 9 on it. Gently try to move the wheel that lines up with the missing print and see if it is jammed. A small dribble of WD40 down the sides of the print wheel may help. Sometimes they split and then it is a full strip down or printer replacement. It works! Maybe the wheel next to it was the one that wasn't spinning because I could only see four wheels in. We tried it again today and it works perfectly. How about that!
