Please clarify your question. Or Do you have a variable speed pump separate from your filter pump? Or do you have 2 pools? Circupool salt generators need to have flow to work or they can generate explosive gasses. That's why there's a flow switch that is connected to them. Normally, you connect downstream of the filter pump and filter on the return line to the pool. For best system life get one that is rated for twice the volume of your pool.

there may be some debris at the pump lid oring that is allowing some air to get sucked in. sometimes everything seems to be operating fine until the system gets up to full pressure. perhaps the pump has run dry at some point and the pipe that threads into the front of the whisperflo pump has broken the seal. make sure the pipe is dry and then turn on system. you can use duck tape or squeeze silicon sealer into threaded area this will usually at least allow you to notice that less air is entering the system that way you dont have to cut and replumb parts you don need to. you may want to check any valves that are in the pipes that lead to the front of the pump it is possible that the flap at the skimmer throght where the water comes in at the pool wall tile/water line is sticking up and or is getting stuck which will stop the amount of water needed to enter thru the skimmer basket area once the pump is in full prime this then lets the water drop inside skimmer basket area and air gets sucked into the pump then the process repeats over and over until the flapper is freed or removed

The most like problem is the chlorinator has stopped working.
Most salt water chlorinators have a circuit breaker which cut power to the electrolyte cell if there is an overload or short condition. Check the circuit breaker, reset is necessory.
The other possible problem with the chlorinator is that voltage/DC current is supplied to the electrolyte cell via a low voltage transformer and rectifying circuit. if these components are faulty then the electrolyte cell will not produce chlorine. When the electrolyte cell is working normally you can see tiny bubbles of hydrogen and oxygen coming off the cell.
