Bernina 830 (newer model) - the needle position will not move left of right. No problem sewing in the middle position. Auto needle threader works as well.

Just guessing, but are you using a presser foot and needle plate that will accommodate a zig-zag stitch? Some machines are so smart now days, they won't allow anything but a centered straight stitch with a straight stitch foot or needle plate.

I had the correct stitch plate (9mm) installed but I didn't switch the setting on the machine when I switched out the straight stitch plate for embroidery when I completed that project. I was getting a Warning notice but I didn't realize it was regarding the wrong plate since I had changed it already. I failed to go into the software and select the 9mm plate! My bad!

Lost quick needle threader Bernina 1130 can it be replaced?

Yes, you can purchase a replacement needle threader for the Bernina 1130. Here's one source: https://www.sewingpartsonline.com/needle-threader-bernina-0016575201.aspx . Other sites have the piece for sale.

I hope this helps.

Needle threaded is stuck in up position will not return 830 bernina

Bernina 830 Record??? Or newer Bernina 830 computerized?

If it's a Record, could very well need a good cleaning and oiling. Older mechanical machines need periodic lube to keep them running smoothly and quietly.

Wheel on right side that controls the needle up and down is very tight...

Install a brand new needle. Verify that it is installed correctly and is facing straight forward. If it is still not threading properly, then something may be bent or out of place in the threader.

Bernina 930 change needle position

Look at the knob which creates the zig-zag stitch (1-4) at the top right of your 930. In the center of that is a silver knob that rotates right and left. That silver switch moves the needle position right and left.

How do I change the needle position on my Bernina 1630?

Not sure, but if this is the one with the track ball, try pushing in on it to activate needle position.

Can Bernina walking foot with soles and seam guided used on Activa 210 be used on 16 yr old Bernina Activa 230????

Please be advised that the newer machines (Classic models) such as the 130-180 and up, have a totally different geometry. This is to say that the older machines have a shorter distance from the center of the presser bar to the needle center. The newer machine design was increased to provide space for needle threaders etc. Older machines will use an older Walking foot model (still available).

Needle threader is not working bernina 220 activa

Use a magnifying glass to see if the little hook in the needle threader is bent so that it is not going through the eye of the needle. You might be able to gently bend it back with tweezers.

Make sure that your needle is in the upper most position when you try and the presser foot is down.

Janome MC 10001 auto. needle threader stuck in up position.

You are threading the top of the machine incorrectly.

Make sure the needle is in correctly with the flat side to the rear of the machine, make sure to thread the upper and lower portions of the machine correctly. If this does not solve your problem, please respond.

Bernina 1630

I have a Bernina Virtuosa so not the same machine - but this may help. There is an icon on the front of the machine - it is a needlepoint pointing at a dot in an oval - there are arrow buttons on either side. These move the needle left or right of center and it shows on LED screen. I checked mine just now and if you turn machine off and on it resets to center automatically. Hope this helps - Happy Sewing!!
