If you suspect that someone else knows or has changed your password, please reset it so nobody else can sign in to your account. To do so, just enter your username on the password-assistance page.
Account username:

• For Google Accounts without Gmail: the full email address you used to create your account.
• For Google Accounts with Gmail: everything before '@gmail.com'

If you think someone has access to the email address associated with your Google Account, please change the password for your email as well. Learn more about keeping your account secure.
If you're unable to reset your Google Account password, and you can't sign in to your account, you can fill out the account recovery form.

I am assuming you are getting this when you are signed into Gmail.

Think before you click

How can I recognize phishing?

Messages or websites phishing for information might ask you to enter:

• Usernames and passwords
• Social Security numbers
• Bank account numbers
• PINs (Personal Identification Numbers)
• Full credit card numbers
• Your mother's maiden name
• Your birthday

What should I do when I see a phishing scam?
Most importantly, never reply to suspicious emails, tweets, or posts with your personal or financial information. Also, don't fill out forms or sign-in screens that link from these messages.
Most email providers, including Gmail, allow you to report suspicious emails and phishing scams. To report phishing in Gmail, click the drop-down arrow next to "Reply" and select "Report phishing."

To change your Google Account password, go to the change your password page.
Or you can follow the steps listed below:

1. Sign in to your Google account. If you've forgotten your password, type your username on the trouble signing in page to reset your password.
2. Go to the Google Accounts security tab.
3. In the Password box, click Change password.

Remember that changing your Google Account password changes it for all Google products you use, like Gmail and YouTube, so be sure to use your new password the next time you sign in.

I had the same problem when i first installed this, I found that username and password have to ONLY contain lowercase characters or it wont register or login to skype correctly

Go online on your computer and try to sign in with the same username and password and check if you have the same problem,sometime providers like google, lock your account after a few unsuccessful sign in,if that is the case you need to unlock your account before trying again to login on your phone.

Ok, So I just had the same thing happen to me last night and I just fixed it. It'll take 2 people to do it. I went on to my gmail and changed my pattern, after a few minutes my phone had a triangle with an exclamation mark come up in the notifications bar. Don't bother turning off your phone...mine didn't reset for the pattern after 7 hours of being turned off. At this point, once you get that triangle, get someone to call your phone, it'll unlock it for a few minutes. Just long enough for you to change the password on your phone by clicking into that arrow. Then your phone will lock again after the call is done. Put the new password into your phone again on this screen. Then it'll ask you to draw another pattern. Draw something simplistic, then if you want to take it back off just go back into your settings and remove the lock....just remember your pattern this time! hope this helps!

This is a longshot, but maybe some yahoo.com pages are being blocked by your computer. Do a search for your Hosts file and open it with notepad. Any listings that are prefixed with 127.0.0.1 are blocked. Look through these listings for anything with yahoo.com in it. If you find any, make a copy of the hosts file with a name you'll remember, then delete the entries containing yahoo.com. Save and close the Hosts file. Try to sign in to your yahoo accaount. If this doesn't work, use the copy you made of the Hosts file to restore the file.

Right now the G1 is having issues logging into the phone after you get locked out using a screen pattern. Just try to remember to write down the username and password you used the first time that way you won't lose the information on your phone by having to reset it. Also make sure you are typing it carefully and make sure to enter your whole gmail address too (Ex. [email protected]). Also if you have had to change your password from a computer after you logged into your G1, it does not take the password change. A way to avoid that is to login to the G1 again. Sync your contacts to gmail first (Settings > Data Synchronization > Menu > Sync Now). Then go to Settings > Applications > Manage Applications > Google Apps > Clear Data. To sign in again go to Settings > Data Synchronization and it will give you the option to create an account or sign in.
