SOURCE: SL1210 mk2 pitch problem
You lack the proper tools to calibrate the pitch. Here are is a tutorial on calibrating your unit: http://www.djproaudio.com/cgi-bin/Help/kb.cgi?do=read&id=18&lang=en Also, that decal on the turntable that measures speed, is not an exact science. It's just an indicator to give you an estimate of the speed your turntable is rotating. It's not to be used as an exact measurement. Over time, pitch controls tend to drift from their original settings. Calibrating it back to factory specs might fix the problem, however, there are various other factors which control the drive of these turntables. So, if this does not work, the problem lies somewhere else - usually within 1 of the 3 IC's.
SOURCE: turntable plays too fast
I have seen this problem before. Lift the turntable off. It might be held down with a clip around the center pole. Under it you will see a wheel that contacts the turn table and the center shaft of the motor. The motor shaft has 3 0r 4 elevations with different diameters. When you change the speed the wheel will move up and down to different diameter levels on the motor shaft. It must be free to move. It might need some oil at the moving parts as I suspect it is not moving properly.
Hope this helps.
SOURCE: the washing machine makes a high-pitched squeking
No, not if the noise is only when rinsing, if it makes the noise when spinning generally then possibly but if only noisy when rinsing sounds like a filter blockage on the waste pipe. clean out the filter behind the flap on the bottom of the front panel
SOURCE: shower head is making high pitched whistling nois
The holes are probably clogged from hard water. Take the whole head assembly and dip it in a bucket of CLR for an hour or so. Then rinse off and give that a try. If your cheap, you can use a bucket of white vinegar and a little bit o water, but the smell is most disagreeable.

ALWAYS UNPLUG YOUR DRYER BEFORE STARTING ANY REPAIRS
Your problem sounds like drum rollers may be in need of lubrication, or maybe your drum belt has slipped off of the idler arm pulley.
If you have a front loading machine,
Remove the electrical console that holds the timer switch, start switch, etc. from the top of the dryer. Also remove the screws holding the lint filter in place.
Be REAL CAREFUL not to knock any of the wires off of the timer switch. Then remove the top of the dryer.
Remove the front of the dryer. This will expose the drum and belt. Remove the drum and belt and this will expose the drum rollers, idler arm pulley and motor.
Now is a good time to check the belt to see if it has slipped off of the idler arm pulley and also to check the belt condition for wear.
Be sure to note the route of the belt, this will come in handy when you go to reinstall the belt.
Check your drum rollers for flat spots or wear, if they have flat spots or wear on them replace them.
If the drum rollers don't have flat spots or wear on them then they probably only need lubrication. Lubricate the shaft of the rollers with a good grade of machine oil such as 3 in One oil. Reassemble the dryer, plug back in. This should solve your noise problem.
