Japanese to English Version

Hi..My sister bought a Japanese version DSi from Japan for my son's birthday...Of course we can't use it because of the language (Japanese). I don't want to return it back to her.. in the future..would there be a software to where the language can be converted to English from Japanese? I'm willing to wait on it , if it happens.. Or do you know how to convert the language from Japanese to English instead? Please Help...

I am not sure if this will help or not but it is worth a try. Here is how to change the language. Hopefully there will be a option to choose English.

How to change the language:

  1. On the Nintendo DSi Menu, use the stylus to select the Settings ("wrench") icon.
  2. Select the right arrow thee times to go to page 4, then select "Language."
  3. Select from the options options on the screen:
    • English
    • Français (French)
    • Español (Spanish)
  4. Select OK (the bottom-right button) to confirm and return to the System Settings.
Note: Some games that feature multiple languages may display in the language you have selected in the system settings.
English.

How to change language for HDR CX560V Japan from basic Japan to English

I have compared its instruction manual in English and Japanese versions and found that the language setting part is absent in Japanese version. So that the japanese version will support only japanese.
I have asked the seller in Bic Camera shop (in Japan) and he tried to change the language in the menu, but unfortunately he could't find and change it.

Is there already a english converter for japanese dsi?

The DSi has not been hacked as of yet, so currently changing the region is not possible. However, if you can guess your way through the settings (I can't help here as my DSi was stolen) then I think you can change the language. Other than that you can't do much else.

Need to get back to english

Researched this extensively. you cannot change the camera to english. sony camera's bought in japan (or from the internet from japanese suppliers are not multi language. they supply a japanese version and an international version. the japanese version is cheaper (nationalistic thing). there is no firmware either to upgrade it. best thing to do is download the manual and become familiar with it.
