SOURCE: where is the t-con board located in a vizio 55in tv

The T-con is usually at the top center on the rear of the LCD panel. It usually has a metal cover over it.

SOURCE: LG 55in Smart TV , model #55ln5790. when I press power on the remote or on tv , the only thing that happens is a indicator right below the LG on front of the tv flashes red 3x. It won't come on.

These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating procedure, to many popular brand TVs and other devices. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/
Blinking codes details to many popular brand TVs are given. Surf the site with patience.

SOURCE: I have a Vizio E500i-b1 50" led tv and if I turn it off I can not get it to turn back on for hours/days....any help is appreciated!

Fault to the main power supply regulator section. Either it will be a separate board, or the part of main board. Check and replace damaged component/s at its main power regulator [SMPS] section circuit. Contact any service technician. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts.

It will be best to replace the power supply regulator board as card basis rather than making "Surgery" to it; which usually will make loss for both money and time. Even though you can make it right, it will cost around an amount equal to the cost of a new board; including the cost of (spare parts + service charge) More to say, most of the spare parts to it will be difficult to get from open electronic spare part market. This is true to most of the flat panel TV power supply boards; irrespective of its brand and screen size.

Those sets use LED backlights and the lights are driven to max luminosity. The individual LED failures cause the whole unit to cease

My Vizio M502i-B1 S/N LTYWRLAR will not turn on.

If your Vizio M502i-B1 TV is not turning on despite the power board, fuse, and power cord being in working order, you can try the following troubleshooting steps:
  1. Check the remote: Make sure the batteries in the remote control are fresh and that the remote is functioning properly. Sometimes, a malfunctioning remote can prevent the TV from turning on.
  2. Unplug the TV: Disconnect the TV from the power outlet and leave it unplugged for a few minutes. Then, plug it back in and try turning it on again.
  3. Check the input source: Make sure the TV is set to the correct input source. If the TV is set to an incorrect input, it may appear to be turned off.
  4. Check for lights: Look for any lights or indicators on the TV that may be on or flashing. This could indicate a specific issue with the TV that can be diagnosed and resolved.
  5. Contact Vizio support: If the issue persists, you can contact Vizio customer support for further assistance. They may be able to help diagnose the issue or recommend a repair service if necessary.
If none of these steps resolve the issue, it may be best to have a professional repair technician diagnose and repair the TV.

Vizio E500i-b1 went dark, any ideas on what to check next?

You can change boards in your TV all day and it's most likely no going to fix this set. Have you ever had a set of miniature Christmas lights that seemed to work great then all a sudden none would light, either because a bulb burned out or fell out? There are 2 types of electrical circuit wirings, one is series the other parallel. In series like your LED backlights are wired in your TV there are about 8 button lamps per circuit that have a 24 volt DC supply serving each set as this TV has what's called local dimming, one of the lamps has opened up making that set not light up, the power supply has over voltage and over current protection for each supply if one lamp opens up they all go out and this is exactly what's happened in your TV, the power supply safety circuit is non discretional, if it detects an error it shuts down the entire backlight circuit giving you no backlights. As far as a break down on what fails 5% of the times it's the main board 5% its the power board and the other 90% of no backlight failures on this model TV comes from the backlights being bad. You can change just the one bad strip if you wish but it's advised to change them all. Good luck!

Vizio e322ar won't turn on

My Vizio E322AR White Vizio Light comes on when plugged in, then slowly fades to "Off". I unplugged and replugged - same. I held down the power botton on the side, and plugged in... same. Vizio light comes on (White) and over 5 seconds or so... fades out to nothing.
Remote doesn't do anything, buttons on the side don't do anything.
Going to pull the back off and look for bad Capacitors, and test fuzes for continuity. Wish me luck ... will report back later with results.
