SOURCE: jig saw model 7580 type 4, replacement for blade clamp

There is no model 7580 Jigsaw. The only model close to that I can see would be the 7588 Type 4. Unfortunately that part is unavailable for this model. You may want to contact your local Dewalt service center and see if there is a substitute for that part.

I have an old Dremel scroll saw model 550 and need blades. However, the blade holder is missing a clamp that secures the blade. Is there a universal kit I can purchase to solve problem?

Try going to a store that sells scroll saws and look at the new models to see how they hold the blade. Take your Dremel with you. Maybe you can find one that is similar enough that could work if you can get the part. Then go to the tool company's web site and search for the manual for the comparable tool you found - they all have on-line manuals nowadays. You should be able to order the part you need. Good luck!

Instructions on removing blade from jig saw model dw933

To remove a blade on this saw, lift the knob on the top of the saw and rotate the knob counterclockwise. This will open the blade clamp. The blade should slide out. To install a blade, slide a blade in, being sure the back of the blade fit against the support roller. Clamp the blade in place by turning the knob on top of the saw clockwise until you hear a clicking sound, then push the knob down.

Hope this helps.

Not sure how the blade seats in saw pneumatic bosch jig saw i can get it to go in but the blade seems to wander and seems to be unstable

do you have the screwdriver that came with the saw? if not you need a longer straight slot screw driver and it must be ground down to fit into the blade clamp tightener. it is a narrower than usual screw driver. I lost mine and had to custom make one. good luck.

My husband has a BLACK & DECKER JS515 VARIABLE SPEED JIG SAW WITH QUICK CLAMP 3.5 AMP which i accidently broke the blade on...i cant figure out how to change the blade..any help would be greatly...

Here is a link to the instruction manual, and just under the place where it says Save These Instructions it tells you how to change the blade.
http://www.dewaltservicenet.com/documents/English/Instruction%20Manual/90520882,JS515.pdf
Fitting the saw blade (figure A)
- Hold the saw blade (9) as shown, with teeth facing forward.
- Push the lever (3) downwards.
- Insert the shank of the saw blade into the blade holder (10) as far as it will go.
- Release the lever.

There is a little lever where the base of the blade fits into the holder that you depress to release the blade...You can see a picture of it in the manual.

I hope this answers your question...if so, please take a aec to rate this post...thanks.
