GE Front Load Washer has no power after a power outage. Main breaker has been reset and we have unplugged the unit from the wall. Door is still locked and no lights come on at all.

If you are receiving an error code E41, your loading door may be ajar. Double-check to ensure that it is closed. If it is secure, reset the power to your appliance for about 30 seconds. You can do this by unplugging the unit or flipping your circuit breaker into the off position. If the error persists, it could either be the door switch assembly or your unit's main control board. In that case, a certified technician would generally replace the faulty part after proper diagnosis.

If THE WASHER DOES NOT START THEN HERE ARE THE POSSIBLE CAUSES AND SOLUTION FOR IT.

1)Electrical power cord may not be plugged in or connection
may be loose.
Sol: Make sure plug fits tightly in wall outlet.

2)House fuse is blown, circuit breaker tripped, or a power
outage has occurred.
Sol: Reset circuit breaker or replace fuse.
Do not increase fuse capacity.
If problem is a circuit overload, have it corrected by a qualified electrician.

3)Water supply tap is not turned on.
Sol: Turn on water supply tap.

IF THE WASHER DOES NOT SPIN THEN:

1)Check that the door is firmly shut.
Sol: Close the door and press the Start/Pause button. After pressing the Start/Pause button, it may take a few moments before the clothes washer begins to spin. The door must lock before spin can be achieved.

if the door is not unlocked after 6 trials the central control unit will enter a failure mode and the digital display will show FdU
If this happens then reset it by unplugging the all the cords
for 30min and then plug it back.

Hello Frank Webb - Does the cord or plug look damaged? If it does not, try resetting the unit by unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker off. Wait approximately ten minutes. If it proves to be ineffective, I suggest contacting a professional to move forward accurately. The unit may possibly be experiencing an issue with the control board, faulty door lock assembly, faulty pump, or the timer itself is not operating correctly.

If the door does not open, then it sounds like the washer is possibly experiencing a communication problem with the control board, wiring failure or faulty door lock. Contact a professional to move forward accurately to properly diagnose/repair unit.

There is a main control board on top which may need to be replaced,
if you remove the back top panel there is a tech sheet with a lot of information tucked in there, Suggest you plug something else into outlet to make sure outlet has power, and breaker is still ok,

ck breakers you need 220 volts . remove bottom panel to clean out lint

kill the power either unplug it or turn the breaker off wait few minutes hopefully might reset it if not call service... may need new control board or latch mechansim kinda common after power outages when power comes back sends jolt blows electronics out hope this helps

mabye there is something keepin the door open, thats usually why most washers dont start
