The panel control board on the tv is faulty. Try disconnect the panel connection form the main board and the check.

Go into the service menu and reset the main board.
It sounds like the button is stuck. Take the remote apart if you can and see if the key is stuck somewhere. This happened to me once with a rubber key type of remote. It drove me crazy.

Could be a viariety iof things but here are some of the common causes
Dirt and sust inside unit causing bridging of components.
Failure of the sound board.. on off is also on this unit board.
Stuck keys ( eliminated by you) on remote
Another device on similar frequncy activates the on/off switchfor PC and A/C when it cuts in ( A/Cond) or some other appliance.
A PC being used nearby ( some games can set this off)
So its a sort of trial and error job.
Overall i would check PC and A/C are off for a period and run TV. If it still does it i would then assume the sound board needs attention.. cleaning is a must, technician as a last resort

Warning! Pull out the cord first!!! Open the TV take the tester and check over the mini board with the buttons, there might be the Vol- button in shortcut, or get some water. If its short, must replace, if there are water/ liquid/ oxyds traces, take a toothbrush, put a little of alcohol, and gently clean the place, after that dry it with a hairdryer.

Just repaired one with the same fault. It was the MANUAL CONTROL toggle switch on the back of the TV itself. Just De-soldered it and now can only control it with the Remote.
