it would be hard to tell with the new fakes getting better and better and you just giving a description of it wont work --best bet is to see if a coach store or a high end designer store can authentic it
look inside the bag at the brown leather tag if it has Coach written with the number it is , bags that do not have this in side tag than its not a coach

check to make sure real leather, stitching is symmetrical and logos are true logos. take to retail store.
