How do I stop the warning shut down coming on

This diesel is old school. If it is shutting down after the engine reaches running temperature. More than likely suspect the fuel system. Inspect the fuel filters, fuel pressure, oil pressure and coolant temperature. Are the warning lights turning on and off when you start the engine? Are there any warning lights that flash or turn on before the engine shuts down? How is the charging system? Look for loose, frayed, corroded, broken or shorted wiring.

The ENG is for as group of codes that logged on and turn on both the check engine and stop engine lights this alerts the operator to stop the engine before damage occurs
having that done the engine control module probably shuts the engine down in case the operator ignores the warning or doesn't see it
contact a detroit service center for an explanation of the warning and what it refers to
it may not be as I said but then to ask will save heaps of money if I am right

Maybe something is defective from the factory? Can you bring it back and exchange it for another? Is it a desktop or a laptop? If it's a desktop, maybe remove a side panel and aim a small fan at the inside. Do you know how to start up your computer in safe mode? Maybe try starting it in safe mode and see if you can do a system restore, do you know what that is and how to do it? Google will explain it to you, but I'd suggest those steps.

Hello Pattiaknight,Make a desktop shortcut to shutdown and include a switch that forces all open apps to shut down without warning.

Just right click the desktop, New, Shortcut, type:

Shutdown -f

Shutdown -f closes any open programs without warning.

Now instead of shutting down the usual way, just use that shortcut to shutdown. If the error stops it means some program wasnt shutting down properly on occasion.

WHAT HAPPENED IS WHEN YOU SHUT DOWN AND RESTARTED YOU (RESET THE ENGINE MANAGEMENT COMPUTER) AND THE SERVICE LIGHT SHOULD GO OUT AFTER 10 MINUTES OF DRIVING
