It is a mountain bike frame. That's all I know.

SOURCE: how to know a genuine cinelli mountain bike frame

I just took a look at mine, which is a 1990 "The Machine" model, and the easiest way I can tell you they although they are made with round Columbus tubing that has been FLATTENED on the sides of the top tube and the down tube where it joins the steer tube giving the tube more of an oval shape. The top tube is also flattened on the top and bottom where it joins the seat tube lug. I don't recall anyone else doing this. Mike.

Does it have to be an original part? Most any parts on a bicycle are interchangable with other bikes.....good luck with it.

SOURCE: How do I pump a

They should be designed to fit both styles of valve, but you need to reverse the seal.
you should be able to unscrew the end, remove the sealing rubber and a plastic fitting that pushes on the valve, replace them the opposite way around ,and they will fit the presta.

I have an old bicycle that was my father's first bike, he was born 1947, but I dont know what make or model it is, the serial number is e85419..

The make is normally on the head tube (where the fork goes through the frame) and the model is on the side of the frame or on the chainguard. If those are no longer present then the serial number is not going to help you at all, as there is no universal system for serial numbers, so there may be multiple bikes with the same serial number, especially ones as simple as yours. The photo is not close enough to tell if there's any writing on the bike. If you are interested in resale value it is critical to have the original make and model on the bike. I will tell you that the seat may be relatively valuable.

I found a Schwinn bicycle and wanted to know the year was told to post the serial number on the bottom of the frame it is w921336

Schwinn bikes made in the last several decades were made at many different overseas factories, and serial numbers varied. Look for a date code on the head tube or badge (where the fork goes through the frame. That is more helpful for date of manufacture. Would be helpful had you told us the model of the bike.

What do the serial numbers on a scott foil 40 stand for

You'll have to contact Scott for that. Most bike brands are not actually manufactured by the brand, the components are all made a few makers, the frames are subbed out to several different makers (mainly in mainland China), and the assembly may be done by an entirely different company. One frame may be used for multiple models with the brand just spec'ing a different paint scheme and drive train components to come up with different price points. Unlike an automobile, bicycles will not have matching serial numbers on the frame and all of it's components. Contrary to the marketing hype, most bikes within a given price point category will be virtually identical in spec'd components. The difference will be nuanced and the frame dimensions may be slightly different, but other than that it's the "same ****, different smell".

I have a Schwinn women's 21 speed Frontier. Frame in purple serial #0378. I wanted to know the year and specs. On it? Thank you!

First thing, is headbadge black and red? Does it say it was made in China, either on the headbadge or somewhere else on the frame. If so, the bike has no value as an antique bicycle. If its in running condition, tires hold air, brakes work and gears shift its about a $60 to $ 75 bike

Boulder 3 Mountain Bike..location of serial number

Serial Numbers are usually in one of two locations.
  1. Turn the bike upside down and look at what is the very bottom of the frame where the pedals and cranks pass through. This is the bottom bracket shell. Serial numbers are commonly stamped here and will be a long series of numbers and letters
  2. Occasionally they are also stamped inside the rear dropout on the left or right. The rear dropout is the part of the frame where the rear wheel is connected.
