If you are referring to
remote trainers' collar then please know that all remote trainers have the same
basic 3 components: Remote transmitter, Collar receiver and collar probes.
The transmitter sends a radio signal to the collar receiver. Then, the collar delivers the stimulation to the dog through the stainless steel collar probes. The probes are located on the dog's neck and must have direct contact with the dog's skin in order to properly function.
If you cat is going to be a house cat then you don't really need to use a collar - However if you do with to use a collar then you should be able to slip 2 fingers between the collar and the cats neck to ensure that your cat is comfortable.
