Notebook Lifebook E8110 - some keys sometimes dont work. Backspace, and keys around "mushroom" pointer like r,f,g,h// I tried in Word and Notepad and nothing, in Internet Explorer they work. Now they dont work in any software. I tried reinstall keyboard in device manager, tried download all drivers and nothing help :( Its Windows 7 Home. Clean installation, new used notebook. Thanks

To reset your BIOS password, you must disconnect your laptop-battery. Wait a few minutes, and put it back in. Now your BIOS password has been reset and you can access your BIOS again.

try using the following keys

Fn key +F9 key

or to be more precise

Fn Key + the jey with a Speaker image on it with an X mark

In your case I would suggest using Hiren's Boot CD as none of the others worked. There is a program called Kill CMOS which wipes the BIOS.

Disconnect the battery, unplug it, then open it up. There should be a small round battery called the CMOS battery somewhere in there. Pull that out. Then plug your computer in and boot it up without the CMOS battery. It should say password disabled. Turn it off, disconnect it, put it back together, and you're good to go.

If you installed Vista from a box that you recently purchased then the key is on a yellow label on the back of the pull out section. If your PC originally had Vista and the label was on the bottom of the machine then Microsoft should it with your registration.

Search for a keyboard on eBay. Should be about $5-15. Type in "(model name) keyboard."

Most BIOS batteries are on your motherboard. If you have the time and patience you could take apart your laptop and replace it yourself. However I would suggest, first if its under warranty to take it to your vendor, second, if the first fails, take it to a local computer shop. The small computer shop guys are usually very knowledgeable and they have a good chance of teaching you a few things while they fix your computer
