check for lint in your hose going out. It may be backed up and causing thos High limit switches im assuming you replaced. also, their may be a third on near tge drum.

I have a Samsung DV5451AEW/XAA dryer that will NOT shut off. It ran a cycle and finished drying. The panel is now turned off and non responsive, but the drum is running without heat. I have left the dryer...

Sounds like you have the spin relay for the drum, stuck in a closed position. If you can locate where it is, you van give it a few taps to get it to disengage. You will then have to try to clean the contact on the relay that is sticking with a toothbrush and some spray contact cleaner that is safe for plastic. If this doesn't work, you will have to replace the relay or the contact. I hope this helps.

Samsung Dryer Model DV419AEW /XAA Dryer will not

I doubt its the main board. Try seeing if the drum is tight and seeing if the belt broke by spinning it by hand. If the drum is real sloppy and you can't feel motor tension, you need a belt. I would rule out the mainboard until last because the belt is like 89 cents.

Samsung DV5451AEW electric dryer will not heat up when on any of the "automatic" modes. The dryer dries perfectly when set to a time dry, so it's heating up, but it will not dry when set to normal, heavy...

I would recommend calling a technician. Could be as you said a bad sensor. Make sure the sensor bars are clean. Use an alcohol pad or cloth and clean them.

My Samsung DV5451AEW/XAA will not dry cloths. The vent tube is not plugged and air flow is great through the whole vent system. How do I get to the heating element?

  • I am assuming this is electric. Yes?
  • Do you get any heat when there is no clothes in it?
  • Have you checked your voltage at the receptacle? If not 220V, if you have the old tube fuses, then one may be blown. If you are getting good heat with no clothes then replace your high limit thermostat. Lots to check before heading for the heating element. As for heating element they are usually either in the back of the tub or a tube on the right hand side of the dryer. You need to take the front panel off.

Samsung DV210AGW/XAA Dryer, drum wont turn nor heat up

hi all, thanks for your comments. to note, it's my dryer not my washer so the suggested solutions wont work. Also, forgot to note, the unit is only 14 months old and just out of warranty. What I've done so far:
- vacuumed the filter
- striped the dryer, meaning removed top. front and small exhaust panel in the back
- vacuumed everything
- checked the belt, tight, not loose, broken or off the roles
- child safty not enguaged, toggled it anyway to be safe
- the checked micro switch next to belt by motor, not engaged
put it all back, turned on with nothing, tried every setting in auto and manual tied high to low temps and times, the time is noted, such as 40 min, but does not time down, over time, the unit sound the I'm done tone, if left as is, continues to chime then end like it did something. all along, the drum never rotated nor did it heat up.
Does one impact the other, such as if the drum does not roll then the heater wont start or vise-a-versa. Could the control panel have taken a hit or are there sensors that might have shut down to prevent the unit from starting are there fuse's that I didn't see that might have been tripped.

Thermal Fuse keep failing

Fuse and element failure is related to lack of air passing over the element. The drum and fan should run even if the heater is inoperative. Find out what is stopping them, then work on heat. If motor is running, there should be air flow--pull vent hose from wall outlet--should be brisk air flow. If not, remove the lint screen and check again. If now ok, soak the lint screen in hot water and detergent. If drum does not turn, check the drive belt and if it sits properly on motor pulley.
